I agree to that, but they are attention getters. I'm assuming most kids arent committing based solely on a jersey, that would be sad. But they will catch the eye. Legarrette Blount was mentioned as them catching his eye.
I love the new helmet. I actually like these a lot better than the diamond-plating. I also enjoy reading the reactions of rival fans. It wasn't that long ago when Oregon wasn't on a high enough stage to draw the attention they get now.
The color scheme is growing on me a little more. I think I'll be fine in time. Thanks for the new pics beerboy.
I actually consider white the only "neutral" color on a sports uniform. I understand, however, that I am in the tiniest of minorities on this issue. For some reason, over time, black has become accepted as well. I'm still not sure I buy silver, however. That being said, I'm sad the Ducks ditched yellow pants. I was waiting for the one game where they went all yellow and completely befuddled the announcers--it was all they could talk about.
I know they have. Perhaps I should have said, "the one game next season", rather than "the one game". When they had yellow pants, didn't they pull out the the full Lightning look at least once every season?
not sure about full lighting look last year.. but I rememember seeing Highlights of the Yellow pants and white top at the ASU game last year.
Exactly. Not to mention the "ratings" system isn't all it's cracked up to be...so, yes, if a "higher rated" player wants to go there because of the uniforms, by all means, take him.
Any D1 school that has 14 million different versions of a clown looking uniform is going to get some pub. Just be thankful you have Nike in your back pocket or you'd be a worse program than the Beavs by far.
