Most players don't teach players to be like them. They teach others how to play the game right. There is a difference. How to run the pick and roll right. Where to spot up. Where to move and when. That is the type of stuff. Not how to clone Jason Kidd.

It was NY. He mentioned us and NY because of his relationship with Nate abd Mike D from the olympics.

Interesting.. of course if Kidd would take 5 years or want more security.. but I'm not sure he really has the leverage for more than maybe 2 years.

Dallas seems willing, from what I've read.

What if they suddenly decide it's not worth it and we get stuck with Kidd for 5 years? :sigh:

Kidd isn't looking for more than 2 years, most likely because he knows he can't get it.

Kidd is going to take the largest and longest contract he can.

Definitly. But if you think contract length is going to be more important than "Ring Hunting" I think you are mistaken.

Well then you better hope the Lakers or Cavs don't offer him their mid-level.

Well to be honest, I am hoping they don't offer him their exception, because I worry about that. I do think if the Cavs did it though, Mo Williams would be flat out pissed. I am not so sure they would be concerned after his playoff performance against Orlando though. Although it wasn't his fault. Maybe when they wake up and quit trying to run a midget back court against guys that are 6'9" tall, they will figure that out.

If they can bring him on board for 3 years I'd be on it immediately, but even if it was for 4 years and no more than 30 million I'd probably bite. If he's unwilling to take a contract like that then I'd start looking in the direction of Miller or a trade for Hinrich.

one thing you guys are forgetting is that the over-36 rule kind of hoses anyone trying to use the MLE.

edit: On a 4-5 year contract for Miller
