I can think of a few names that have been floated that I would NOT be happy if the Blazers signed them. Hedo, for example, but I'm growing less enamored of Andre Miller by the day.
Lamar Oden and Ariza were the most i didn't want. But there are a bunch I dont prefer on that list. Would only be pissed with those 2, and maybe Bibby.
I picked hedo. Although I probably wouldn't be pissed if we got him. I just don't think he's that great is all. If I could pick more than one I'd pick ariza and odom
So you picked Hedo because you could choose 1, but you would have picked both Ariza and Odom if you could have picked more than 1?
Mike Bibby would be an ass tastic way to spend the cap space. Portland already has a slow, no defense 3 point shooter. Why get another?
Sorry, can't choose just one. I don't want Ariza because he's not an enforcer, he's a thug. What would it say to Rudy, for example? I don't want Odom because he's a punk and having Oden and Odom on the team would be too confusing. I don't want Bibby because I think he's pretty much used up and was never more than good to begin with - better to stick with Blake. I don't want Kidd because I don't like wife beaters. And has been said before, if any of the other 29 teams sign him the headlines would be "Team X Gets Future Hall of Famer" but if Portland signs him we'll see "Jail Blazes Sign Wife Beater".
I picked Bibby, though really it's all relative. I think Bibby would be a fine addition at the veteran's minimum for example. And as much as I love Kidd, he'd be a terrible addition with a max contract. So it all really comes down to how much it costs to get them. Assuming all get payed a "fair" value (based on my opinion of course), I least like Bibby.
Bibby would be a waste. He is a Blake level player at this point in his career, so getting him would be a waste. I am not a fan of Turk at more than 3 years guaranteed and the price he seems to ask for and I am not a fan of Miller at $10m per.
Allen Iverson isnt on the poll but is a UFA, I would least like to have him on the team. Even though he is a great scorer, he never seems to work out well with a team and is getting up there in age with his health decreasing. Larry Brown has showed slight interest in bring Iverson in for the Bobcats though.
