Well mostly those are pretty informal merchandise sellers. I think you could probably make plans to meet up with someone to purchase before the match. There are a few bars close by to PGE where the Timbers Army frequent, and my guess is you'll be able to pick up a scarf then. But you could verify that on the forum I linked to.

It's off of 18th Avenue (the street with the MAX tracks), right on Taylor Street. Pretty easy to find; a short walk from the park.

There is actually a tailgate and BBQ behind the Bull Pen on Sunday the 28th. It's a great place to find Timber Army merchandise. Scarfs/t-shirts/pins/drunk chics. Seriously, the match against Seattle will be beyond epic. Just remember, if you are a Newbie to Timber games, do not sit in sections 104-108 if you don't want to stand up and scream the whole time. It's agreed that those are standing sections. When I go with my kids, we usually try to sit a couple sections over so we can feel the atmosphere, but they can still see the game.

so just stay on the max for a bit longer!

If you're determined to drive, you can usually find parking in the neighborhood north of PGE park if you're early enough.

I have to disagree with you on the FC, since it stands for Football Club and that's exactly what they are. Real however, is completely retarded for SLC to have adopted into their name. The Spanish word for "Royal" is not quite what comes to mind when I think of Utah.

Actually, they're a soccer club; "football" is what is played in the NFL in terms of the language that North Americans use. If they called themselves "SC", I would be less annoyed.

I don't think that there would be any mistaking what sport the Sounders played, though, if they left "FC" (or "SC") off of their name.

Like I said: it seems to me like they're trying too hard to be like soccer in Europe. Whatever. Soccer fans seem to like it.
