    Great choice for Turk, Toronto (like it said in the article) is a European-like city. ;)

    Go after a defender now. They're paying too much for Turk, but he'll at least get you 15ppg nightly.

    All in all a pretty good signing. Turk gives them a go-to perimeter scorer who's also a great passer. Good step toward showing Bosh that they're trying to compete. As for defense on the wing, Dahntay Jones and Quinton Ross are two cheap and largely overlooked options. I hear Ross is close to being a Mav though.

    Barnes isn't a good man defender but hes not bad. Rebounds well, underrated ball handler, can shoot it decently. His best contribution is toughness/cockiness/enforcer attitude.

    Also Von Wafer is another overlooked role playing wing player.

    but the singing, particularly the large contract involved almost suggests that management assumes we're one move away. unfortunately we are far from one move away as demonstrated by our meager 32 wins. portland could afford to award turk a large contract because they might be one move away from winning several rounds in the playoffs but the raptors certainly are not. this move is eerily reminiscent of the JO acquisition where colangelo essentially thought he could win the east with JO and Bosh, all the while ignoring the sub par talent of the guards. colangelo needs to allocate the funds more wisely- best bang for ones buck, Turk certainly doesnt qualify

    Wow....

    So that report of Marion's price being too high must've been correct. I bet Colangelo had Turkoglu waiting on the wings (because he legitimately wants to play here), and decided that banking on Marion to settle for less was too risky. It's bold alright. It just seems like BC can't help but act impulsively. Even when the strategy is to be patient, he ends up shocking everybody.

    How in the hell do we round out the rest of this roster, now? Von Wafer, Quinton Ross, and Dahntay Jones would be good options as Run pointed out. Is Linas Klieza still feasible? He was waiting on us, and seemed to legitimately want to play here.

    The Raps are going to hover around .500 with this team and just continue to be mediocre.

    I refuse to believe any of these reports about particulars in the short term. They're just so all over the place. Also, it'll save my sanity not to believe that rumour.
