Some people would be much happier becoming Laker fans and playing Hello Kitty Adventure Island. You are so negative, it honestly has to be impacting your health man... get a new hobby... I don't think there is a single person in this community that would miss your attitude.

I would just like to know, what was the GOOD point guard that KP and this management passed up? GOOD young point guards are hard to come by and teams don't just give them up for nothing.

I'm sure every team would love to draft the next Chris Paul to put next to their Tyson Chandler but GOOD PG's are few and far between.

If I'm not mistaken they drafted Taureen Green over Sessions. In all fairness though, both were 2nd round picks so take from that what you will.

2nd rounders are usually a crapshoot.

I really don't blame KP for passing on that when nearly the entire league had passed over him.

    1. The baby bulls were talented but flawed in that they didn't have a lowpost defender/rebounder/scorer. They also grew impatient and made some trades that completely set them back.

    2. ??? This comparison makes absolutely no sense. Are you really comparing one player to an entire team....especially a football player?

    3. Again This comparison makes absolutely no sense. College players are only there for a finite amount of time and and the fab five played together for only two years.

If you are trying to make the point that nothing is guaranteed, then I would agree. But your examples are completely unrelated. You do realize that players even if the players only improve a slight amount, we will still be able to win at least 55 games. I will be much more critical if no move is made before the trade deadline, which is highly unlikely

I have to agree with you MM.

And we shall see what KP does over the next couple of weeks. This is critical. This establishes KP's place as one of the true, young and brilliant GM's.

I think KP's ship has come and gone for 09'. All this Jibber jab about how we would be " VERY ACTIVE" this summer is all a bunch of B.S. The last two year's he was setting himself up for a big spending spree. Problem is there is nobody in this class that is worth Max money. Turk would have been fine, upgrade. But our biggest need is PG hands down. I like Blake but I just down't see us winning anything with him. Blake is OK, not grreat

I think we need to swing for the fences and get a legit PG. Harris, Hinrich. Start there and move up.We have 4 SF's and Blake, Bayless. Bayless is a horrible shooter. He is a horrible fit for Roy. JB's shot is so flat even Drexler has offered to lend a hand. lol.

I've lost a lot of faith in KP this summer, I thought he was gonna land a good SF and upgrade the PG.`He failed on the both. I think he a great scout/ talent evalutaor but is not a good GM in that evaluating other teams talent and trying to piece it together with what we have.

    Good luck KP

if you really think that trading away zach randolph was a mistake, i'm not sure people are going to respect your basketball opinion very much. there's good reason the blazers weren't able to get any value for him(and it's the same reason the knicks weren't able to get value for him and the same reason the clippers weren't able to get value for him).

Trading ZBO for cap space we're not going to use was a mistake. We could have sat on our ass with him putting some points up. Rushed trade, nothing in return, now people are trying to cover up their bullshit opinions on the matter.

I don't care if "people aren't going to respect my basketball opinion", its the right one.

the team is better off without him.

in this case, it's definitely not.

"Bad contract" and "useful player" are not mutually exclusive. If Zach was making half as much money, teams would want him.

This is not provable since we never even rolled it with other than Roy and Aldridge's rookie seasons, we just rushed a trade to clear cap space in two years that is proving more and more to be absolutely worthless.

In essence, barring some miracle, we got nothing. nada. zip. zilch. zero. Knicks and Clippers appear to have done the same as well to clear cap room, so it was still doable to trade for cap space. We're not doing anything with it anyways.

Zach would have been great in the second unit. Sure its a huge contract but again, we are not doing anything with the money anyways.

Get some rebounding and interior scoring...would have been nice to have him there instead of Frye or Outlaw playing the 4.

Aldridge would not have developed anywhere near to where he is now if we had held onto Zach.

Somewhere in Spain, Rudy Fernandez is feeling very unloved right now.

    not this again.

we bought Rudy for cash. sure, the "trade exception" got us james jones but we could have likely bought him straight up. Pritch wanted James Jones.

we were one of the few teams that were in a position to stash a pick in Europe AND then help with the buyout.

Yes, but what we traded him for, what we've been hearing about since we did trade him for is front and center, and appears to be essentially useless.

This is more important than "KP's friendship with Blake" in costing us an NBA title. IMO, RLEC and Cap Space should have been played much smarter, what essentially happened was worse case scenario and trumps all of the problems we think we have on our team (other than Oden's development, of course).

We can waste all the time in the world whining about Blake, Outlaw, no backup PF, no passing SF, or whatever, but the real issue is the fumble of the cap situation and RLEC.
