Yeah, I believe the rumor was Indy offered him at least $3 million.

I'm glad he decided to stay.

He's smart, he can learn from the best here and he is such a great fit. He'll milk us for another ring and then he can get his payday.

He knows Phil is going to give him a chance to compete with Farmar for main back up role.

    Prove yourself, Shannon.

I heard on the radio Odom wants $10M. I'm sure his agent is using Hedo's deal as the benchmark to set Odom's price tag.

Obviously Odom isn't worth the $10M asking price. You always have to worry about his energy on the court, he's 30 years old and at some point you have to put faith in Bynum being able to breakout which makes Odom less valuable.

The Lakers aren't going to cave in to Odom's demands and I wouldn't be surprised if they have a Plan B option if Odom decides to bolt.

But who is going to take him? We're right up there with the offers reportedly at 8 million a year. It looks more like a bluff.

If Odom goes to Portland I would love to snag away Rudy ;) and Batum while we're at it.

He may be wanting $10mil but I can't imagine any team is going to pay him that. I think he'll eventually come down to earth and realize that's he's not worth that.

Lamar and the Lakers are having a staring contest. Whoever blinks first loses. Mitch and Co. are not blinking. LO is not worth 10 million, period. There are only 3 teams out there with cap space, and 2 of the 3 have expressed zero interest in Lamar. Portland is the only team that has expressed even the least bit of interest in Lamar, and we don't even know what type of money they are willing to throw at him. The interest is also described as being lukewarm, in other words, not very interested. Portland is the only team with cap space left willing the spend, so naturally they're going through all their options. We've heard rumors about Lee, Wallace, Miller, etc. Lamar is merely one of their options they have taken a look at. I still think when it's all said and done, Lamar's stuck with us, and his BFF Ron Artest no matter what.

Doesn't sound like Portland is willing to pay David Lee $10M so I doubt they'd be willing to pay Odom $10M. If/when Portland spends their money and it's not on Odom he's going to lose all leverage.

I still think LO's gonna be back. I'm just pissed how long it's taking. He's being a bitch. lol

I don't even think he'd fit in with the Blazers locker room. They all hate him because whenever we match up, LO always likes to start shit with them.

I'm more worried about signing Odom for less than he expects and he goes into a funk and doesn't play hard anymore. Meanwhile we're stuck with inept Odom for 3 or 5 seasons. He's always been sensitive and in the back of my mind I wonder if he played with heart last year because he was in a contract year.

For the majority of the season, he was same old Lamar. One good game, five invisible ones. He did step up when Drew went down, but in the postseason he was very inconsistent. I don't think motivation will be a problem, Ron will get him pumped up to play.

But Shape, you are certain LO will be back right?

Why do people think we can't win it all without Odom?

If Bynum is healthy at the end of the year, it'll be a non-issue. I expect Odom to come back and get his usual 26-30 minutes.

Even if Bynum isn't healthy, Kobe - Artest - Pau is still damn good enough to seriously contend.

    I've always thought that way.

It is Brian and Moo who don't.

    Correction: Not always.

I thought we would definitely need Bynum to conquer the Celtics this year. I didn't expect for KG to get hurt.

I think we can easily be a top contender without Drew or Odom, and we can definitely win it all with Kobe, Artest, and Pau.

I expect Drew to step up though. I don't care what Odom does.

In Odoms case it's not a matter of losing Odom, if he does go the question becomes who replaces him?

Plenty of viable candidates out there still.
