http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=13225 The luxury tax threshold is $69.92 million, and the Lakers are really going to have to pony up if they want to keep Odom since they're over.
There should be no reason Kevin Pritchard isn't on the phone getting Steve Nash. Nate likes his toughness, Oden and Aldridge woul dlike his passing, Brandon would like his ability to play off the ball, Bayless would like the things he coul dteach him. I mean what in the world could they be waiting for?
I have to admit that I would also love Nash on our squad. 2 years would be perfect! MM, don't you ever work?
Looks like the ONLY thing you manage is to be on this forum during business hours! I'm gonna call your boss!
What do you think it would take to get Nash from Phoenix (in addition to the instant cap-relief, obviously)?
Outlaw, Blake and a pick would be amazing for us, obviously. I guess it depends upon how much dude is really hurting for money.
This is one of the teams to keep an eye on. If we don't use any of our cap space, and the Washington isn't .500 after 30 games, they may become desperate for cap relief/young players.
I hate Nash from a defensive point - but as a great shooter and passer - he will definitely make us a better team, even if he will get nowhere near the kind of production he got in Phoenix in a team that plays inside-out with Oden and a half-court superstar like Roy. I still think that Hinrich is a better fit.
