Hope he can convert all these open jumpers he is going to get from Nash.

    Great for Channing.

I hope he can revive his career in his hometown.

Btw, last week he said he's keeping Portland as his permanent home. He loves it here, too bad it didn't work out.

I think we can say goodbye to the Hill and Nash hopes as well.

Yeah, I think Channing can play in the NBA and do well. It's a shame he didn't fit better.

I'm a little surprised he didn't end up in Orlando or NY. He would have fit well on both those teams as well.

"The Suns will also sign free agent Channing Frye(notes) to a two-year deal for $3.8 million, sources said. The second season is at Frye’s option."

I know many people here dogged Channing pretty hard last season, but two years for $3.8 million is an absolute steal. Two of his four years in the league, he's had an above average PER. Both of the years he had a below average PER, he was comimg off injuries/surgery. He should flourish in Phoenix and their offensive scheme with Nash running the point. Even though he wasn't the best match for Portland's slow, grind it out style of play, he averaged about 16/10 in the last 8 games he started in Portland. If Phoenix trades Amare and Channing gets to start, I think he'll put up very nice numbers in Phoenix and end up being an absolute steal for them at that price.

I agree - and I wish him nothing but the best. Frye is a nice guy and I hope to see him succeed in the NBA.

Good for Channing. The guy just needs to get in serious shape like he did his rookie year. He just seemed so immobile on the offensive and defense end, and was a 6-11 jump shooter. The guy's got skills but he needs to get his legs right and get in some shape in that Phoenix system.

I'll think he be fine down there. Watch him light us up when we play them! By the way, will Amare go back to starting at center for them?

Yeah, Frye makes a ton of sense at PF next to Amare on the offensive end.

Defense? Uh, they'll win most times they can get to 120 points, which should be reasonably often.

    I wish him luck.

I just found out the other day that an old ex-girlfriend of mine used to play frisbee golf with him in some PE class back at ASU. I LMAO when I picture that hot little 5'3 36D number tossing a frisbee with a 6'11 basketball player. Just seems hilarious to think about....

You are definitely underestimating Frye. You're literally talking out of your *** when you say he hasn't lived up to his potential, I'd put money on you not watching more than the 2 games we played the Knicks with him. So you don't know what the hell you're saying. Give him a chance before you say anything like that... IMO, Frye is going to be very valuable big man for us for years to come. Not only is he a high-character person but he's a polished basketball player. His offensive skills will come in more than handy while our bigs are taking a breather.
