    That is so true. Not worth reading some threads because of how quickly they descend into just that.

    Who knows, next week Roy's statement might be a deal has been reach. I wouldn't be surprised.

    When Nate started losing faith in the Seattle management he refused to re up there. I kind of see this as Nate starting to lose faith in management, and wanting an out if he doesn't like what he views from his position.

    yup. i don't like it. he can bolt to another team...say if Popovich retired or something. or hell, PhilJax.....

    Well fuck if you think about it Nate would be a .300 coach without Brandon Roy. If they don't re-up Roy, I would be looking around for a better spot too.

    Pretty unprecedented for NBA standards. I hope Nate knows what he's doing here, though I'm sure money isn't an issue with him now. But props to him for feeling secure enough that he doesn't need or want a long-term contract.

    Maybe it has something to do with being stuck with 2 or more rookies every single year instead of the vet he has asked for from the day he arrived?

    I don't know, but last year had to have been a very tough year to be the coach.
