Bucks will match. There won't be any balloon raises in the 3rd-5th years (because the Knicks have no cap room) which means his total salary is going to be Beno Udrih money, a mere 30 million dollars.

Can the Bucks match and trade? Does matching a RFA offer count as a sign for a "sign-and-trade?"

I'm not sure, but what angle are you thinking of?

I do not believe so, except to that team. If an offer sheet has been signed, all three teams have to agree to rescind it, so the Knicks wouldn't allow the offer to be rescinded unless they wanted to work out a sign-and-trade between those three teams.

Good info. All signs point toward Kirk or Miller. Please god let it be Kirk.

    PG Kirk
    SG Roy
    SF Batum
    PF LMA
    C Oden

    That's a defensive monster.

It only counts if Sessions signs it.

I fear that Portland will do nothing to improve the PG position. But there is a great opportunity here ....

Yes, and then I think we should get Lee and trade Joel for Battier. What do you think? J/K. :devilwink:
When I started reading your post, I seriously expected it. Good job resisting it. :)

Pritchard should come in offering a mil more than the Knicks are. Do the right thing and wait the 10 days to see what goes down.

One of our regulars made an important subtle point

Milwaukee just signed Ilyasova to a 3 year deal. So a full $5.8 mil offer to Sessions from NY would put Milwaukee into the luxury tax payment land... increasing the odds that Milwukee will not match it. And it has been said in a few places they would not match anyways.

    So as the STORY unfolds...
We also know Chicago has interest in Lee, and Walsh loves Lee but does not want to pay da man what he is asking. So an increasing chance he is S&T. But, if NY gets Sessions.. Lee will probably not be S&T for a PG...

as been talked about If Lee goes to CHI, it would best be served to deal with a 3rd team with cap space.... uhm hmmm

Strange that "sources" reveal, at exactly the same time, New York and Portland, are prepared to offer Sessions and Miller, respectively, contracts.

I'm sure this was to put pressure on a team or player to make a decision. God, I love the off-season. These GMs and their chess matches are fun to watch.

Reasoning for not going after Session?

I'm puzzled by this. Then, why go after Miller, who is primarily the same player. It must be due to experience, I suppose?

So, Sessions will be either a Clipper, Knick, or Buck.
