I will arrive evening of the 6th, interview the 7th and meet with a relocation service on the 8th in the AM. Free Saturday afternoon/evening, any Blazers stuff going on? Found two possible places to stay and will contact immediately. BTW, my cat Orlando loves rain. He's one of the rare cats who likes getting wet, very unusual in a cat. Whenever it rains here he splashes in the puddles and comes home soaked, muddy and very happy.
As to any Blazer stuff going on, ABM is trying to set up another "meet & greet" with the team. I don't know about dates yet.
Thank you for taking the time to post for everyone else. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to put in my opinion before you posted on my behalf. I, for one, DO care and hope that crandc has a safe and fruitful trip. Ed O.
I care too -- and am jealous that crandc will likely soon have season tickets. Although, I'm sure she'll miss the GS Warriors.
you are bringing your cat? i doubt it rains when you are here...its been drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry, although that means it should rain eventually
so you ended up finding a hotel that met your cleaning products standard? Which place if you dont mind me asking, just curious.
Not sure if you like soccer crandc, but the Portland Timbers play home games on the 6th and 8th at 7p at PGE Park. Fun times! Have a great trip, and good luck. Peace
No, I am not bringing my cat. Atlhough the company would include family members in the visit, and the hotel has pet accommodations, he, like all cats, dislikes travel. I'm speaking generally that he would not mind the Portland weather. Although I am literally having panic attacks over how to move my two untamed kitties. I literallh cannot pick them up, so I can't just stuff them into a carrier. That could actually be a deal breaker if I can't find a pet mover. If I decide to move, I am willing to pay whatever it takes to get those cats moved. But it wont' be easy. Would you believe, I am spacing on name of hotel? It's in my work computer. It's on Broadway & Salmon, they say they are scent free and accustomed to guests with MCS. I am still checking out B & B's, though. I don't really want to stay right downtown if I can avoid it. I am not bringing sheets, which would not help much if everything else was toxic. Sure, maybe we can get together for a drink. I am not sure what I'm doing Saturday eve. I'm trying to (re)locate an old friend and if I can will take her to dinner (aren't expense accounts great?) but if that does not work out I can be had. Friday eve it's possible someone in the group I am interviewing with may want to go to dinner to talk informally; at any rate, I'm keeping the evening open just in case. How about PM with a phone # I can call when I arrive?
