From Chuck Swirsky's twitter. Would be an awesome trade for the Raptors. Don't see why Golden State would even consider this.
Rumour: Devean George for Marco Bellinelli? Source: Adrian Wojnarowski Wow. Talk about turning your crap into.... younger, more potential-filled crap. I like this trade a lot. Does it make Delfino less of a priority? Do we use that last roster spot on Mensah-Bonsu or some other FA?
Re: Rumour: Devean George for Marco Bellinelli? wow!!! golden state must have totally given up on bellini. i guess delfino is longer an option. bellini is immensely talented so this only bolsters our offensive output.
Have you read selections from the legal transcripts that are now out? It's amazing how f'd their relationship was near the end of it all.
It almost felt like this was inevitable, no? BC's been obsessed with Bellinelli ever since that draft. Glad he waited 'till his value was rock-bottom before he indulged his fantasy.
bc offered graham for bellini last season but the GS turned them down. although, chris mullins isnt gm anymore and apparently nellie has a much more prominent role in management now so i suspect he never liked the kid
I'm not sure if this entirely true, but have the Raptors employed every Italian-born player in the history of the NBA?
anybody care to speculate on the rotation for the two's and three's? SF: Hedo (35 min), Wright (13 min) SG: Derozan (24 min) , Bellini (24 min)
I think to start the season, it'll be: Turkoglu / Wright / DeRozan Wright / DeRozan / Bellinelli Just have a hunch that Wright's D will show its value during training camp. Wright will play relatively few minutes for a starter though.
u know what this really gives us... tradeable assets. the only guy on the team thats a trade killer is marcus banks and maybe bargnani with his new contract depending on who u ask. so if we experience under lackluster season, im confident colangelo will do this all over again. to be entirely forthright- i never thought we could have traded kapono or even hump coming off a serious injury but he did it. in BC WE TRUST? undecided but he's got ballz!!!
The man deserves credit in that area. Whenever he's gone forward with another ambitious plan, the team's always been two seasons away from financial flexibility things went south. His talent evaluation is questionable, but his financial foresight is excellent.
Can't wait to see this lineup. Calderon/Belinelli/Hedo/Bargnani/Rasho Probably won't happen, but it'd be awesome.
It's gotta be a cool surprise for Bellinelli. He's playing with Bargnani for Italy right now, and it looks like they'll continue as teammates for the rest of the year.
