A few posters said they would be concerned if we hit August and Roy/LMA were not signed. It's August.
Yep. It's August. Roy still isn't signed, and LMA seems to be an afterthought at this point. This is a reminder. 2nd richest owner in sports (or is it first?), top 5 richest in the US out of all citizens, sell-out crowds/luxury suites in the Rose Garden, and still playing nickel/dime on the two reasons he is close to making money on this team.
"2nd richest owner in sports (or is it first?), top 5 richest in the US out of all citizens, sell-out crowds/luxury suites in the Rose Garden, and still playing nickel/dime on the two reasons he is close to making money on this team" He may someday get to the point where the team breaks even but owning the Portland Trail Blazers will never be a money maker.
So goes the company line. Yet, I've seen nothing that tells me they will be in Portland for years to come other than words. Will they be? Likely. Are they for sure? Not at all.
Will Brandon Roy be a good player next year? Likely Will he for sure? Not at all. Should we worry about the small chance that he won't be good and beat it to death all summer?
Then you've heard the rumors too? Giant inflatable pontoons were put under the Rose Garden when it was built. PA is just waiting for the right time to float it and the team right up to Seattle.
Is the fact that Roy hasn't been extended worth commenting about? Clearly and obviously, based on this thread.
