They showed highlights of various players this weekend from the late 80s, and 90's. As the years go by, people forget how good some of these players were. Watching Kerry Kittles and Danny Ainge I saw Rudy Fernandez. Seeing Robert Pack I saw Jerryd Bayless. Seeing a young Grant Hill I saw Brandon Roy. And seeing a young Shawn Kemp I saw pre-injury Greg Oden. Oh, and Charles Barkley was scary good.
That made me think of something funny. When Kemp was traded to the Blazers my son and I were at a game and he asked me why every time the play stopped Kemp re-arranged his package. We laughed about that every time we watched him play after that. It was true Kemp for some reason couldn't keep his hands off himself.
I would be happly with a pre injury Kittles comparison. Didn't he start on a team that went to the finals? Rudy is a better long ball shooter, but Kittles had that sweet mid range game. Kittles had a great steals to turn over ratio that I think Rudy will have too.
