Coincidence? I think not. Has anyone ever actually seen his birth certificate?

Breaking News! KP sucker punched LMA and is now hiding out with Dale Davis.

Good deal. 74 million though. Where is that figure coming from?

I will be shocked if Aldridge gets that much. About 130% more than Millsap got? 50% more than Bargnani?

I doubt it. Guess we'll wait and see...

I'd pay him $10 mil more than Bargnani just out of principle. If we're looking at other PF's for LMA's potential salary, I'd place him above both Millsap and Andrea by a visible but not exorbitant amount.

I think they should give him the same salary that Al Jefferson gets ($65m). Al-Jeff is a better low-post offensive player, LMA is a better defender. Overall - he is clearly above the Millsap/Bargnani level - and at this point, seems like he is at the Al-Jeff level.

Give him that, make him happy and maybe offer some incentives if he becomes a much better rebounder/makes the all-star team/the team makes the WCF...

Totally agree. I think this seems like the way to go with LA.

Good call, yeah. $65 million is perfect in my eyes.

Are there ways to give bonuses? Like if player A posts so many points/rebounds/blocks/steals(not for LMA of course) they get an additional 10K. I thought I heard something a while back about a team giving out 10k$ to the player with the most steals...

Yeah, that happened a lot for a while back in the 90's... I remember one player who had a $1 mil bonus if the team made the playoffs or some such thing.

Well that's true, but him getting two and a half times what Millsap gets is excessive.

I'm sure Portland is going to use David Lee and Millsap as their measuring stick. However, LMA's camp should use Bargnani and Al Jefferson as their comparisons. I think $65M is a "fair" number.
