When I saw this, I was pissed. Why the fuck would we cut him? He would compliment McFadden well. He really helped LT during his good days and made him even better. He could have help McFadden grow as a player, but I guess the Raiders will always be the Raiders. Signing players with big names, then releasing them.

I'm not familiar with Oren O'Neal. Is he really worth making that space for?

To be honest, I didn't follow football close enough at the time to know much about him. He was injured too. I think Run can answer that.

Neal is awesome. He doesn't take breaks, he breaks records.

O'Neal is a monster FB very much in the mold of Lorenzo Neal. Excellent blocker and decent pass catcher. He destroyed his knee in the first game of last season but if hes back and healthy there's probably virtually zero drop-off in performance from Neal to O'Neal. O'Neal is young and has nice potential.

I'm still pissed though because Neal was already proving to be a leader and presence in the lockerroom. I could name 15 other guys who won't do shit on this team who we could have cut instead. Granted, Neal/O'Neal were redundant and Neal cost more than those other guys I'd rather cut. Still sucks to see him go.

Apparently Neal had been bothered by a hamstring lately in practices. After an MRI it seems as though he has a slight tear in his hamstring. I'm reading that hes actually been put on IR, not released but none the less he has said he may have to hang 'em up now.
