It just goes to show how much KG runs his mouth. I wonder if he drops MF bombs when he is talking to his boss. I guess his knee feels better.

He runs his mouth way too much for his own good.

    Yeah, okay Garnett.

Run your shit all you want, we'll let Odom back in your face and you'll back down like a little bitch.

Yup. Now he's changed his mind since we signed Artest.

Ariza>Artest, not sure why you guys don't realize that.

I don't think losing Trevor Ariza is going to have the same effect as Boston losing James Posey.

    I dont realize this.

What about Ariza is better than Artest? Lateral quickness is the only argument that I see repeated.

Agreed. Boston didn't miss Posey at all. The Lakers will miss Ariza a lot next year.

Boston missed making it back to the Finals. The Lakers won't. Ariza is going to resort back to the player he was with the Knicks. He's not going to get anything close to the open looks he had playing alongside Kobe, Gasol, & Odom. He's not someone who can create his own shot yet. The Rockets also don't have any shot blocking with Yao out and are undersized up front. Without a back line to defend the rim Ariza won't be able to gamble as much on defense and I expect him to pick up a lot of cheap fouls getting caught out of position.

OK, so here's how it'll go down. Kobe will get hurt 3/4 of the way through the season and be out for the rest of the year. The Lakers will end up losing in the 2nd round of the playoffs after 7 games. Next September, I will try and tell you that you didn't go back to back because you let Ariza go. You will ignore the fact that your best player was out and agree with what I tell you.

I agree that the lack of Posey was NOT the reason the Celts didnt go back to the finals. However, I will say that they sorely missed his defense and killer 3pt instinct in the playoffs.

The Celtics would have beat Orlando if they had Posey. He would have been able to slow down Turkoglu and I don't think Boston struggles like they did against the Bulls with Posey in the lineup. KG might not have broken down either with Posey in the rotation. Less wear and tear for the big man since Posey can play spot minutes at either forward position. I'm not sure if Boston could beat Cleveland, but with Posey defending LeBron James Boston would have a legit opportunity to make it back to the Finals last season and then lose to the Lakers.
