No, its a bad moment for the entire Pac 10. As I said in many previous posts, I was rooting for the Ducks to win.
I'm a Beaver fan, but damn that was PATHETIC last night! I wanted the Ducks to win, but they appear to have serious issues with their lines. If their O line and D line don't improve it's going to be a long season for them. I'm starting to feel pretty good about our chances in the Civil War this year though.
I did word it poorly and I admit that, and I do apologize for it sounding like I was lumping a fan base together, I did not mean it that way, and it was not my intent.
No kiddin' -- Soda Pop talks smack all the time, even when his team puts on a pathetic and embarrassing performance in an opener on national TV. I know Soda Pop will be the first in line to pile on when the Beavers lose a game. No first downs in the first half. Sloppy football in the 2nd half. And to top it all off, your starting running back, and I have even heard possible Heisman candidate , sucker punches a Bronco after the game, tries to fight fans in the stands, socks his own teammates, and all but wrestles with police officers. The silver lining is the defense looked pretty good Hopefully for duck fans thebutterflies are gone and things will look up from here I know one thing though, your "little brother" could at least get a 1st down and wouldn't try to fight everyone after the game. So continue to talk smack Soda Pop. Just make sure you can take at least 10% of what you dish out.
I actually think the Defense did pretty well considering they were on the field over 40 minutes.. The biggest thing to me was Allowalotti going into a prevent defense on 3rd down, and making it a basic automatic 1st down. But yes.. O-line was a question mark, and now it is officially a concern.
I think Allioti has got to be one of the worst D-Coordinators in the Pac-10. I didn't see the Ducks D-line getting into the backfield much either. With the Beavs you can count on them bringing heat. They might get burned sometimes, but at least they bring it.
This is kind of funny, Dwight Jaynes wrote earlier criticizing Blount and Duck fans went off on him. The comments are hilarious.
if catch a replay as blount is walking past the crowd to get to the locker room the super happy BSU fan are showering Blount with pleantries, one fan tells Blount that he really like the underwear on his head. Then as Blount walks over to give it to a little kid in the stands some fan get mad and throws a punch at Blount.
I didn't see the game but reading the recaps and seeing some of the video it looked like Boise St was fairly inept on their own leaving a huge chance for the Ducks to capitalize. If I were you I'd just brush off the loss. Early season, new coach, things are still getting tuned. You probably just saw your national championship hopes get squashed like a little insect never to breathe an atom of life again, but still just one game.
Oh yeah thats what I am doing, I didnt expect national title or anything this year, BCS still isnt out of the question, I do think if that line can be patched up, the Ducks will be fine. But yes you are correct on the ineptitude part.

A) At the least, Blount should be benched for the remainder of the season - not because he punched some fool who was taunting him, but because he is a lazy, over-rated waste of a uniform. B) Canzano is calling for Blount's head? I take it back....I hope Blount wins the Heisman! C) It has been many years since I rooted against the Beavers (outside of the civil war game). After reading this thread, I want to thank OSU fans for showing me the error of my ways.
Lol -- I hear you but in reverse. The mudslinging at OSU before the game got me in that same frame of mind. I just try to focus on the Duck fans who have class and forget the ones who are idiots.
Watch at :12 as Blount gets spun around by Hout. It doesn't justify the punch, but Hout is no innocent bystander. Rule of thumb. Likely true, but defending ourselves by saying they'd be just as bad as we are isn't the strongest argument.
