Interesting. I remember Quick intimating that Allen might not be in the best of health at one point last season. Hope he's feeling better now.

As much as it pains me, I will actually give Canzano credit. If Dwight Jaynes had written that column, the tone would have been "please go ahead and die, you filthy Seattlite!"

It is good to hear Allen is doing OK. It does make me wonder...if Allen had been 100% last season and not distracted - would the team have been more aggressive about making a move? Guess we will never know.

His health is probably playing a partial role in some of the organizational decisions. Player contracts, trades etc.

Things are being run more like Jody Patton has the keys to the car rather than Allen.

If I had lost 40 billion, I would have heart problems too.

This news explains quite a bit. My mother--who has worked in health care her entire professional life--saw PA last season and said, "there's something really wrong with him. Either his Hodgkin's has returned or his heart is failing."

I hope PA is feeling much better.

He looks really good in that pic on Olive. Has his color. His weight...

    And his beard.

Has he ever been in good health? Wasn't that a big part of why he left Microsoft, or am I remembering that wrong?

    Heh.

Anyway, I hope he is better now. I've really grown to like him. He does make this team GO.

He left Microsoft due to non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, an unrelated condition.

I'm glad he's taking this seriously; as I recall, his father died of a heart attack in his 50s.

    I like the beard, personally.

    L'chaim, Paul Allen.

We all better hope he stays around for a while. I don't believe PA has any kids so you have to wonder who he's leaving the team to? He's just as important as Oden and Roy to our championship hopes.
