http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/templates/dailynews.asp?articleid=9687&zoneid=2 How many people tuned-into Spike last night to see Kimbo Slice and Roy Nelson put on an incredibly mediocre MMA fight? 5.3-million, on average. The second airing added another 1.5-million. Be honest--how many of you guys feel like DW and Spike kind of got one over on us last night?
Other than guys like Rashad, Rampage, everyone saying they were impressed by Kimbo, which made me think he'd pull off the upset. I was guessing that Kimbo was going to get exposed on the ground by someone in his first couple fights, anyway. From the looks of it, no season will surpass season 1 of TUF.
Raises hand. I can't escape the feeling that Nelson had a real opportunity in front of him, and "somebody" convinced him to not take full advantage. If "somebody" told him he could go ahead and win - but to not make Kimbo look bad in the process - it backfired badly.
