I was wondering why nba.com didn't have league pass broadband available to purchase yet.

Well, that's certainly very good news for all those that can't get Comcast.

I really, really, really hope they make this available for us out of town fans.

Though, the NBA would probably lose some revenue from LP BB if they did.

That is quite literally too good to be true. Why on earth would the NBA let teams do that?

Shit. I already get too much of HCP's crap on my computer as is. Now I am going to get it via the team website as well. That sucks!

Perhaps they are spending the money it would have cost to air preseason games to set up this live stream of regular season games on their website instead.

Perhaps to expand their fan base and generate more merchadise sales?

And those who CAN, but refuse to support their monopolostic price gouging and crappy service.

I'd rather spend my money on tickets to attend the games in person than give one thin dime to those greedy, lying bastards.

If you read Jaynes blog, he says that the NBA allows teams to charge for access to these feeds.

Because they can not control the illegal feeds - so that way they might as well see some revenue from it.

For a fee less than the price of LP BB, or comcast, I'm certain fans wouldn't mind paying.

That's cool. I'd rather sit at home and watch it on Comcast, rather than spend my money on $8 beers at the RG (speaking of greedy bastards).

I do not drink beer, so maybe it taints my point of view - but even when I did drink beer - I never thought there is a beer that is worth the experience of being among 20K loud, screaming fans and the roller-coaster of emotion is on a completely different level, no matter how good the game looks on TV.

Going to a Blazers game is an Event!

Yeah... somehow that experience is less appealing to me lately. I'm not sure I want to be in the same room with 20,000 people anymore. But that's just me, I'm all for those who enjoy it going and enjoying it to the maximum extent.
