    Good read.

The overall perspective of people wanting to find a negative during a good time is well said in this article. People just need to sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. Quit looking for a problem for crying out loud. We deserve the good times- quit looking over your shoulder for the boogey man.

I'm excited about the season, definitely not a naysayer. However, it's been a very long summer in a single-pro-sports-team city:
    the draft was highly questionable.
Miller was a good pickup, but not in the neighborhood of what was discussed for RLEC.
There are structural problems with the roster.
yet again, no consolidation trades were made.

So, my interpretation of the naysayers actions is simply that they're anxious for good news. That's certainly understandable, but yes, the negativity is annoying.

My response to this and I'm not one of the few who is impatient and can't wait this thing out. But, whoever the author is of this article, states that the KP and Nate know what they are doing. Well, we hope they know what they are doing. This is Kevin Pritchard's first shot at being GM. He has never done this before. He is in it for the ride just like many of us are. He doesn't know if his blue print is going to result in a championship. I'm sure he believes in it just like many of us do. But he doesn't for sure if what he has done and how he has done it, is going to produce a championship. Same with Nate. He has no idea if he is the right coach to take this collection to the championship and win it. I'm sure he believes he can, just like some of us think he can. But he has no idea if he is the guy. But to say they know what they are doing just yet is premature.

I agree with the author, some of us prob should learn to be patient and enjoy what's going on instead of jumping to conclusions. Kevin Pritchard and Nate McMillan may have the recipe to get this done. We won't know for sure until it's played out.

Great article. This writer has been putting out some great stuff so far this pre-season. Very well done.

That can be said for every GM/Coach who makes a roster move during the offseason because they obviously dont know for sure how its going to play out.

Do Phil & Mitch know how Artest is going to pan out yet? No.
Do Danny & Mike know how Shaq is going to pan out yet? No.
Do Doc & Danny know how Rasheed is going to pan out yet? No.
    etc. etc. etc.

Well I think because Danny and Mitch have both won a title. You can safely say, they know what they are doing.

But do they know what they are doing by adding Rasheed/Artest? Nobody knows yet.

I'm sure they are confident with a strong set of leadership in place from coaches to players. It's less likely it's going to hurt them.

It's a one sport town so fans are a bit anxious about seeing this promising young club again. Add in that the main media outlet in town has used rumorama/petty gossip as it's main themes and a culture of bed wetting :NOTMARIS: drama fans has taken hold. Things are very rosy for Blazer fans but many still want their controversies and scapegoats.

That should be required reading for our resident Negative Nellies.

Good read. I agree, and am a little annoyed when Kenny on 95.5 keeps talking about how he thinks Rudy looks like he's sulking without ever having talked to him. But just by his 'body language', we might as well trade him.

He's going by nothing, but is making it seem like there's something. And some people just think they know more about the team than the actual people who run the team. Oh well.

I have a theory why people are jumping on the negatives now, as opposed to being patient. KP has brought some of this on himself. KP has not shown that he is willing to make moves once the season is underway. If things do go wrong - will there be a midseason course correction? I'm sure some people are thinking that any problems they see now, will be with us all season.

I'm willing to be patient.....but it does worry me.
