    :ghoti:

    :sigh:

Oh well. Hopefully lots of Miller, Oden and Batum.

I can see why Rudy is out, and he is resting Roy and Aldridge. Why Webster though???

I'm surprised Oden is playing tonight. I thought Nate would give him the night off and give Joel more minutes since Joel didnt play on Wed.

Where is this info from? Link?

So where is the list of the Clipper lineup for tonight? Since that's the title of this thread. :devilwink:

Prior to this week, Webster had played all of 5 minutes of NBA basketball in about a year. I imagine it would be good to bring him back somewhat slowly

IMO, we need to see Oden against a legit big man rotation. Camby, Kaman, Griffin, and Jordan provide us that opportunity.

    Oden doesn't deserve the rest.

Nic has sat a lot the first two games. Maybe he wants to get him some more time, and see if Travis or Cunningham can play there.

    Clipper Lineup:

    [L.A. Times]

    Are you happy now?

Thornton/Camby/Kaman is a very big front line. Maybe one of the biggest the Blazers will face. It will be interesting to see how they respond. I'm wondering if our second unit will get their lunch handed to them (without Rudy/Webster)

    First Unit:

    Miller
    Roy
    Batum
    Aldridge
    Oden

    Second Unit:
    Blake
    Bayless?
    Outlaw/Cunningham
    Otlaw/Cunningham/Howard (matching up against Griffin?)
    Joel

    Hopefull high minutes go to:

    Miller
    Roy/Bayless
    Batum
    Aldridge/Cunningham
    Oden

Or if Clipps keep Kaman in with Camby or Griffin, maybe we will get to see the twin towers? That would be fun.

He is resting Batum and Rudy because they really didn't get a whole lot of rest during the summer. Not sure about the rest of the guys.

Oden needs as much time out there as he can handle. The more he plays the quicker he becomes the man in the middle Portland needs.

If I were Nate I'd be very intrigued to see how Nic handles 30ish minutes in a game ... can he sustain any kind of aggressiveness on offense and does he sustain his efficiency over that long of a run.

    This will be interesting.

I've always feared games against Baron Davis because he is so big, strong and physical. Lately we have been going up against him with the likes of Stoudamire, Telfair and Blake. Terrible matchups for us.

Not this time. We got Andre Miller!!

I wonder if Griffin is playing.

??? Did you not see the hundreds of game thread posts with most of us just following radio commentary?

A lot of Blazer fans care.

What time is the game and will it be televised (and therefore, streamed)?

EDIT: nevermind, it's not. Do we get audio at least?

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Yup, absolutely. Miller may have lost a step on defense, but this is the type of matchup where he should be a massive defensive upgrade on Blake...he's got the size and strength to be extremely hard to post up. Plus, he's a skilled defender.

I think Miller will be a small defensive upgrade on Blake against small, quick point guards and a big upgrade on Blake against big, physical point guards. Plus, he brings more defensive versatility as he can defend shooting guards competently.
