I still don't know what to think about that. It seems so odd. Either the other players were messing with him, and he's too much of an introvert to get it, or he doesn't understand that the times are based on the position that each players usually gets their time at, hence they are "fixed".

Just a weird (and somewhat troubling) article.

Yeah, you're right to propose a trade like that at this time. It won't happen though, because there is no way that KP is going to alter the team this close to the season.

I'm hoping we'll all look back and laugh at this thread.

Well, I believe the coach is being honest on this. It almost makes me think Andre used Portland to get a contract and then planned to force their hand to trade him later on

I don't really consider this drama and it is known that Andre doesn't talk to his teammates and doesn't let anyone in his personal life. That is how he has been his entire career. Not something that just developed when he came to Portland. People don't just change like that.

Anyhow, I wouldn't trip if we found some way to trade him. Maybe we should try to get Sessions from Minny now!

I don't consider this a big deal either. As long as they are still talking basketball, I'm fine.

    Just win, baby.

Someone made a good point on Blazersedge saying that Quick was :stirthepot: by emphasizing that Miller didn't pass the conditioning test. Quick is kind of a tool and I could see how some of the "loner" article's would rub him the wrong way especially with ditto head fans repeating it at games.

So, did Quick also make Miller talk to Yahoo? Did he 'stir the pot' by mentioning how Outlaw failed in past years?

    Oh, THAT'S right, it's Quick's fault.

I'm going to withhold judgment until the regular season starts. If we're not winning games and this comes up, then we might have some red flags.

Hilarious is more like it. Quick should just hide the quotes by Miller that he prefers to be alone, and he should have buried the information on the conditioning test given to him by the team.

Well, I feel better knowing it's Quick's fault. :devilwink:

There is already a red flag. The question is, will it disappear?

I would do that trade. No way they would do it though.

Miller\Bayless for Sessions\Gomes - Gives us a (*debatable) better PG of the future than Bayless, a SF\PF combo better than Outlaw and two 3 year cheap contracts that we wont have to worry about. Also clear cut backups that wont try to start and piss off Roy.

I would do this trade too. Not sure if they would do this either. But Miller finally gives them a good PG starter.

    http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradeid=5252650

Luc Mbah a Moute\Ridnour for Miller.

Luc Mbah a Moute is among the top SF in the league in rebounds and steals. Not far from the top for blocks also. My point is, we are trading someone who needs shots, which so far looks like he is pissing off the team, taking too many shots, for a player who plays defense and doesn't shoot. And then another mediocre PG to battle with Bayless and piss him off more, but a decent expiring contract.

You have been witch-hunting Miller since before training camp started, so you should be thrilled about this. It's like the 4th of July for you right now. You should already be at the local print shop getting "Trade Andre" signs made up.

I haven't read all the post and am not a big Miller fan but I do think he should start. Miller has outplayed Blake and everyone can see he is the better player. We already knew at least I did that Miller didn't talk a lot to the other players on other teams he has played for. He likes to keep to himself which I see nothing wrong with. I just don't think the team (Nate, Roy and maybe others) have handle the situation right. Nate comes out and says Blake is the starter and Miller will be coming off the bench. Why didn't Nate just say the job is open and the player that plays the best will be the starter instead of naming Blake. Roy also has hinted that he isn't comfortable playing with a different PG then Blake. If I was Roy and really wanted to win I would shut up and let the best player win the job and learn to play with Miller if he did get the starting Job. I hate to tell Roy but Blake is a nice player but not one that will take a team to a NBA championship plus eventually someone else is going to take over for Blake no matter how comfortable Roy feels playing with him.

And you have been bowing at Andre's feet for the same amount of time.

    Something's gotta give, right?

To everyone's surprise the soap opera fans are wetting their pants over nothing... and who'd a thunk it they want everyone to join them in a tizzy

-self described "loner" Andre Miller didn't have a long conversation with Brandon until they actually met :NOTMARIS:

-His new coach calls him one of the smartest PGs in the game, compared him to John Stockton, but hasn't named him (or anyone else) a starter yet :NOTMARIS:

-even more concerning, Miller stated that he expects to start :NOTMARIS:

    -grass is green :NOTMARIS:

What's funny is you're being serious.

You enjoy being wrong a lot or something? It sure seems like it.
