You're right, lets give up a proven veteran that has been successful in this league for 10 years for a dude that won't ever play and Mike Conley....Whhhat the fuuuuuuck. Why is ANYONE worried about this year? We just won 54 games last year and made great improvements to the team. EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE OK!
I agree... thats why I put the quotation marks around fix in the post.. but forgot to in the thread title sorry guys.
agreed... I mainly wanna hear what all the complainers would do to "fix" this team since its so obviously broken
Don't give these fools ANOTHER thread to bitch about things! This team isn't broke and doesn't need to be fixed!
lol I just think its funny, when they are actually asked to give the solution to the things they bitch about... they arent in this thread. And are nowhere to be seen. hmmmmmm
Love the sig pic and avatar HCP. You look like a bad@$$ in front of the glass palace. Totally legit oldschool blazer fan, nice. Man I wish I could have gone to that game. Was cool to hear Shonz call the game even if it sounded like it was on tape delay compared to whistles/crowd reaction. EDIT: to the OP as Chris_in_PDX said it just needs time. Roy's in a funk, that will change and domination will come. We have so many weapons OUR team can't handle itself, once they gel it's gonna get MEATY! Oden's per 36 last night vs. Stoudamire: 24.48points 18.72 Rebs 4.32blks. What a disastrous start for this team
This team has played the same basic style since Roy was drafted. Everything is half court. Roy creates from the perimeter/pick-and-roll, Aldridge (and before him, Randolph) shoots from the pick-and-pop or the post. Everybody else plays off that. Outlaw does his own thing. Rinse, repeat. Grind grind grind. It's been that way for the majority of their NBA careers for a number of these players. Now we've added three major changes to the offense. Suddenly the point guard is handling the ball more and creating for others. Suddenly we're running a little bit. Suddenly we're getting a lot of scoring out of our center. Pretty major changes for these guys to deal with, including the coach. In the long run it's pretty easy to see how these changes will make the Blazers a lot better team. In the short run it's easy to see how we're going to lose some games getting used to it.
Well said. Just because you are the best "chopsticks" player in the world doesn't mean you're ready to tackle Beethoven and play it like Chopin.
Team, Coach needs time to figure this out. Once they do. They will be fine. They are still going to win a lot of games.
Trade Miller for Sergio and Jon Brockman, and hand Sergio the keys to the team. Replace Nate with someone who understands how to use offensively talented players. Use the money saved to sign an actual PF with talent to back up/compete with LaMarcus. Then stop messing with the roster for a few years and enjoy the repetitive Titles. It ain't rocket science. It's as plain as the face on maxiep's kid.
That's what gets me. All of the Blazers have the skill to be a much better defensive team. They just need to really trust each other. Use the advantage of having size. With that in mind, the guards can really play the other guards tight, knowing they have such a great "help defense" in Aldridge and Oden. Once that clicks, it will be hard to score against us. We only lack in perimeter D, so the guards are the ones really needing to buy into it.
