Wasn't envisioning him taking that many shots during a game. I wonder if he will keep that up in during the season?
I know its just PS, but come on, ya gotta wonder???? Where is the progress? Shit cunningham came out better than Trout... p
I wanna say no way, but who knows ... as long as he isn't taking bad shots I don't have a huge problem with 10 or so a night, but if other guys aren't getting it going then there could be problems.
Bench types Batum, Przybilla, Blake, Howard, Bayless, Udoka, Collins, and Cunningham combine for 20-35 for 57.1% from the field and for 66 of the 96 points.
In the toilet. He was incapable of performing well enough to not cost us wins with more PT, he was the weak link on team defensive sets, and he would not have improved as he seemingly has if he was handed a job he obviously wasn't prepared for at the time. Instead, he got worried, maybe started listening to the coaches, and is probably a better player for it.
I wonder, but I don't think you can answer that question until you are a good 15 to 20 games into the regular season; sometimes it takes that long to see what you've got. If they're still as out of sync defensively, pressing constantly, struggling with ball protection etc. at mid-way through November then we can start panicking. Personally I'm kind of expecting a slow start and thinking that this team could really hit it's stride in the latter two-thirds of the season, hopefully they aren't so far off the pace at that point that there's no getting into the top half of the conference. But what the hell, I'll go ahead and answer your question(s): I think our depth is slightly overrated, especially since you can't really play more than 9 or 10 guys consistent minutes anyway, I do think this team is ripe for a consolidation trade, but I'm not convinced KP has the stones to pull that off at the deadline or if he's even got the constitution to do it at all -- he seems awfully personally attached to "his guys." As for Nate, I think he's been given a nearly Sisyphean task in trying to find ways for 12 rotation quality guys to get on the court throughout the season -- it aint gonna happen, there's going to be drama, there's going to be some strife and I have no idea if Nate is up to managing that kind of situation ... I also don't know if he's capable of creating an offense that blends the talents of his big three and also allows his newly acquired veteran point guard to fit. So ... who knows?
Well, four starter types Aldridge, Oden, Miller, Webster, and 6th man Outlaw combine for 13-48 for 27.1% and 30 of the 96 points.
weak compared to sergio? what color is the sky in your world? confidence comes from playing time. he would have taken his knocks sooner than later and would be a better player right now.
So you are expecting him to come to the Blazers and take 2-3 more shots/game this year than his career average? His career high for a year (in 11 years) is 14 shots/game. Call me crazy . . . I didn't think he would come to the Blazers and take 13-14 shots a game . . it's a crazy game.
In the regular season he probably won't. In the regular season, I expect a lot of the issues people are freaking out about to go away. However, the amount of crazies around here is alarming, so I could be wrong.
I don't recall there being that many people jumping off bridges last year, so I'm not really sure what the cause is. At least you're posting more to help balance it out.
