This game got released with little fan fare despite getting pretty decent reviews.

It was supposed to go to Xbox 360 and PS3 but both launches got canceled. It's just on PC.

It was written by some fantasy author and seems to have a good story so far, if a little warmed-over.

My three-year old PC can run the game but it stammers unless I keep the settings low-medium.

I've always wanted to play this game but my computer isn't good enough to run it. Aren't they making a sequel to this?

Yeah I've got a fairly old PC and it's having a hard time running it.

They are making a sequel but the studio has supposedly run into financial trouble so it is kind of up in the air whether it will be finished.

I was able to thoroughly clean my PC and ever since I've been able to run the game pretty smoothly on medium-high settings.

I've invested a couple dozen hours in the game so far with no end in sight. It is very deep.

I think Dragon Age is next (which is supposedly over 100hrs for all quests and side-quests).

Yes, Dragon Age is fantastic -- Definitely get it. Do you have Steam?

By the way, would you recommend I get this game?

Nah, I don't have steam. No way I could play DA on my old PC.

As for Witcher--it's fun but it's old. Not unless you're really into RPG's like Neverwinter Nights and the like. It is built on NWN's Aurora 2007 engine and plays similarly to NWN2.

Ok, well, if you played Baldur's Gate or Knights of the Old Republic, it's the game kind of game. Branching conversation trees, nonlinear quests, no or few time limits, side quests, inventory management, turn based attack system.

Sounds pretty nice. I'm not too fond of the turn-based combat though. I might check it out.

^ Witcher mixes it up a bit so it's not exactly you-go he-goes but it's not as bad a FF or Mario RPG or w/e.

Yeah, never been fond of FF. Graphics look nice, anyway.

You can get the enhanced version at Gamestop for $40 or online for $0 if you know where to look.
