I say this because on multiple occasions Nate has said that the players will decide who plays. Well, Nate, you had better start learning his first name because Jerryd Bayless has flat out been the 2nd or 3rd best guard so far this year.

except for that one game Blake has stunk it up, a very poor preseason for him.

I do have to agree w/you there. I think a combo of Miller/Bayless w/Roy and Rudy would be awesome.

Hell, I've wanted Bayless to be the starting PG since last year. Alternating the spot now w/Miller. I am not impressed so far w/Blake's play this pre-season.

I could even go as far as seeing, Rudy/Bayless (PG) and Roy/Webster (SG) and then having Batum/Outlaw/DanteC (SF) LMA/Howard (PF).

I also wonder if Rudy's going to be hurt for the first couple weeks. I do like the rotation we've had of Bayless at mini-motor SG with a ball-handling tall PG (Roy, Miller, Blake, etc.). Bayless is proving his worth, and we have the tools around him to let him play to his strengths.

Bayless was pretty good yesterday at getting to the rim. Against scrubs. We saw him have that ability early lsat season, and then get shut down when teams backed off. He still struggles to look for teammates. Had a fast break last night where he looked down at the ball while he was dribbling it up the court, had Andre Miller, I believe, to his right, and never once looked over to see if anyone was around him. Just went straight to the basket. He looks great at times, but his head down style gets annoying. At the same time, while playing with scrubs, what more can be expected of him. he was trying to get us back into that game, and did his best at it, and that was scoring the basketball. He has really made apush to get some playing time, with Rudy being out. I don't think he'll tak eminutes from Rudy. I do wish he would take some from Blake though. I can't stand watching him play anymore.

    I agree completely.

Roy, Rudy, Jerryd, Steve, then Miller.

Wait a minute--now you like Bayless better than Blake? When the hell did that happen?

Folks can change their minds you know. Just because you post thoughts on a message board about a subject at one time doest not mean you can't change your mind later as the scenario changes.

When has he ever posted anything good about Bayless? When has he ever posted anything bad about Blake? Surely you can understand my confusion.

How about we make a rule that Mediocre Man is not allowed to use the words "Nate" or "McMillan" or "our current coach" or any synonym thereof? Bandwidth will be saved, God bless it.

Please let the record show that Rasta was the one who started the "What would it take for _ _ _ _ to get fired" thread. Then started he didn't think he desreved it..AT THIS JUNCTURE . I'm not sure I am the only one wasting bandwidth?

_ _ _ _ has said, several times, that the players will determine minutes. Well, Jerryd has outplayed both Rudy and Blake this preseason, so according to _ _ _ _ he should have earned more minutes than both of them.

And you have watched how many games this year to make this determination?

The key will be how is it when Rudy comes back. Rudy really hasn't played at all this pre season, but I suspect that is due to the fact that he played his whole rookie season, hit the rookie wall, and then played international ball all summer, without taking a break. That doesn't mean there isn't room for Bayless in the lineup. It just means it is more crowded.

they both are terrible at making their teammates better by either creating, passing, or getting the ball to the bigs.

Steve is okay if a guard next to him is on and his shot is wet, Jerryd is okay if he's getting the ball and being allowed to isolate while being guarded for his J. Those are some big if's these guys effectiveness is dependent on. I'd much rather have a 3 guard rotation of Rudy/Roy/Miller who are all more rounded players that can adapt to multiple situations.
