It's great to see Webs taking it too the hoop. He used to just stand around on the perimeter and fire threes.

    Agreed. He's pretty good driving.

An aggressive Martell (on drives and defense) is a good Martell. I'm loving the fact that he seems to have taken it seriously being a two way player and isn't just settling for being a spot up shooter.

I just hope he keeps it up ... I've never been so happy to have a player prove so many of my thoughts and impressions about them wrong.

The dude's hungry and having Batum out for a while is going to get him confident and will allow him to become a great contributor.

Maybe not good enough to justify taking him over Paul and Williams, but good enough.

3 years of mostly mediocre and inconsistent play for one, a year long absence from hoops for another ...

(God, I hate the :dunno: smiley)

Simple: he was gone. Out of sight, out of mind. He was supposed to have his breakout year last year, and there were skeptics of this even then. When he had one great game and a year-long injury, and when Batum stepped up big time, I think a lot of people (me included) kind of forgot about his potential value. At that point, we were thinking of Walton's foot injuries, of how Martell might be damaged goods now, etc.

Frankly, I'm ecstatic to be eating crow after trying to push him into pretend deals last year!
