That somebody might be you. I never said "worst hands ever"--I said worst hands I've ever seen on a big man. If you can think of another NBA big man in the last 30 years who lost the ball as much as Oden does, please tell me who it was. I really have no idea.

Chris Dudley. Oof, when he got the ball it was a craps shoot to see how long he held it.

Dudley was a horrible shooter, but I watched him his entire career with the Blazers and I don't recall him fumbling it away as much as Oden does.

It's about him rushing. He has so many opportunities to score, but he rushes things too much. Gather yourself and muscle the score in big fella!

Hmm... maybe I'm thinking 2005 Przybilla.

Oden's just being a spaz out there right now. If he can calm down, he'll be fine, imho.

So many opportunities to score? What games have you been watching?

Whenever Oden just posts up, back to the basket, the defense just brings a double and forces a pass/TO/rushed FGA. I think that's the most inefficient form of offense they can get out of Oden as of today.

What happened to that little jump shot Oden was using in the preseason? I don't think I've seen it once in the first four games. Where did Oden's offense go, anyway? He never tries a hook shot, either. Just wants to muscle it up for a dunk.

He tried at least one hook shot tonight in the 1st quarter... missed it though.

Until Oden develops a good drop step, him getting good position is not going to do much at all.

He was able to score last year and he was able to get to the line.

He can certainly improve a lot from where he is, but I don't think that he's worse than he was last year. He's just not getting as many chances for whatever reason.

He got a lot of his points off put backs and just knocking guys over. He needs to get more comfortable with drop steps, spinning and putting the ball onto the ground. You know, actual low post moves.

I think alot of it has to do with the quick hands of Hayes and good Rockets defense....he was not able to get into a rhythm because as soon as he got the ball he was not able to go to the hoop. His post moves have been laughable thus far this young season.

Well unless he gets those opportunity's in game then he will never get into a rhythm. His team mates were saying how much he has improved and was doing very well in practices. But, practice and a game is completely different. if he has position THAT deep more times then not he will have a dunk or draw a foul... so when he gets that deep position they need to feed him the ball so he can get used to it.

He doesn't set up that deep on the post. He needs that drop step and after several turnovers in game situations, you have to stop going to him if you want to actually win the game.

there is no such thing as an "easy lob" against a set defense in the NBA. When you have 6'9" athletes that cover 10ft in 1 second, lobs just don't work (unless they're ally-oops).

The beauty of Greg getting fronted is that it takes away an interior defender to help if our perimeter players were able to penetrate.

I thought Greg had a nice game tonight. I still wish he would put some sort of effort into rolling of the P&R. His roll is so delayed, slow, and he often takes a horrible angle down the key. He would do himself a ton of favors by cleaning that up.

did oden get more looks after aldridge got hurt? if aldridge missing a few games with a hopefully minor injury is what it takes for the team to realize that oden should be used as an offensive weapon as well, it could turn out to be a good thing.

Im not saying run the offense through him or anything but when he does get that deep position and/or is being fronted with NOBODY between him and the basket then they need to get him the ball. Theres going to be bumps in the road but that's how one learns. they dont learn by watching there team mates shoot all day.
