Why the hell through 3 games (and a TNT) have the blazer games been all broadcasted by the other team? The Rocket announcers are beyond painful and the thunder announcers are like listening to parents bragging about their kids at a chucky cheese birthday party. Anyway, anyone know why this is the case? Also im curious on how they decide which broadcast to air? HCP????????? Can you be useful on this?
I am pretty sure it is the home announcers that we get. I live in Houston, so I had the Rockets announcers on local tv for the first two Rocket games, The Denver game was on TNT, and the OKC game was a road game. I am pretty sure it's the home teams announcers
well we were home for the opener and here in CT i got the rocket announcers. So i dont know about the home team theory. And last year i got tons of Mike and MIke games when we were on the road.
Last night on Comcast League Pass I had the choice of Home or Away broadcasts. The previous game in Houston I was forced to listen to Drexler with no Away broadcast option. I'm not sure there is rhyme or reason to this. I'm also not sure if there is any connection between the broadcast offerings and the Broadband offerings. None of the comcast employees know any answers and I have never received a response from the league pass website. The alternative is to not be able to watch Blazer games and I can't live with that so I put up with it.
There is no real reason I can give. The league back in NYC selects what feed to send out. It is not a home/visitor thing at all. An intern back at headquarters makes the choice, no joke.
thanks hcp. but whoever picks broadcats... hate us so far. Excluding the TNT game... i use direct tv and i have gotten zero broadcasts from mike and mike. last year it seemed i always got blazer broadcasts. im just shocked 4 games in... i haven't seen 1 blazer broadcast
For the record, it makes little difference to me who announces the game. I get to watch it and draw my own conclusions. MIXUM, you should love having the opponent's announcers doing the broadcast for you. They provide your posting talking points.
You guys are just lucky you can even see the games! I can't get Comcast here where I live, and even though I am 60 miles from Portland and can't get Comcast even if I want to, I am blacked out on league pass. And I can now stream KGW games - the ones I do get on my TV? BFD. (Oh, I'm sorry, has there been a thread on this . . . ?)
I hate the Thuggets. Even if I weren't a Blazer fan, I'd still get NBALP just so I could watch games other than Denver's.
