starters Craptors, I mean Raptors Pg: Caledron Sg: Derozan Sf: Hedo PF: Bosh C: Bargs Pistons Pg: Stuckey Sg: Ben Gordan Sf: jerebko Pf: Charlie V C: Ben Wallace Notes: both rip and prince are expected to miss the game with injuries which means their bench will be depleted with ben having to start. look for the raps bench to attack the piston bench. i consider this a must win because after tonight they play of 7 of the next 9 on the road and most of the games will be against western powerhouses. Prediction: Raps win 92-84 Oh and the girl...
Beat me to it. I'm interested to see Villanueva on a new team. We got to see him a fair amount of times, but I always got the impression that he couldn't find a good fit in Milwaukee. I expect this to be a shootout, with Rip and Prince possibly out.
i dont think they have the money with the gordan, charlie v signing in the off season. btw, for ppl watching the broadcast- oak was great!!!
im going to say something which may sound absurd but i honestly believe it's true: for this team to be good- antoine wright needs to be the mvp of this team. why? obviously bosh and bargs are going to score most of the points but antoine will guard the best perimeter player and in a league dominated by great scorers on the wing- thats critical. also, if antoine is on the floor guarding the best scoring wing at the end of the game- he will probably get a lot of shots with teams choosing to double up on bosh while keeping a defender attached to bargs, hedo, the pg (whoever it is) which means wright will get some wide open looks and i think he can hit them. therefore, he needs to be their lock down defender as well as the guy hitting the big shots.
right on. thoughts about tonights game... -jack played well, although, he clearly needs to work on his shooting behind the arc -thought andrea played his best game of the year -hedo was awesome in terms of creating open shots for his teammates -caledron is looking very ordinary at best but at times he's pathetic on both ends -triano's substitution patterns are annoying me -e.g. the raps make their big run with wright anchoring their defense but in the second half he opts for derozan and beli in favour of wright- its no coincidence thats the junction of the game where the pistons made their big run -amir played alright but i wish he was more aggressive akin to his performances in the preseason but then again- he does have a history of racking up fouls in limited p/t -beli's defense is a lot better than i thought but he isnt the offensive savant that was advertised
Another pattern that has emerged early in the season is that Bargnani seems to be a major decider in how the Raps do. The 2 games where hes been good from the start the Raps have won. I don't know if that's an obvious thing to say or not, You'd think Hedo would be playing this 2nd option role or Calderon.
Certainly not the Pistons of yesteryear. DD seems to be getting the same kind of treatment as Joey Graham got. Dunno if this is how you define a role for a player. Jose hasn't been himself. Always good to see Charlie. Even better that, for once, he didn't kill us. I can't imagine the Pistons are going to ask Big Ben for 30mpg this season very often.
Also, Olivia Munn is a big fish in a small pond. Surround her with even average looking girls and she blends in.
This I agree with, most of her appeal comes from her being geeky but she isn't as hot as some make her out to be.
i heard she host some tv show and frankly i dont care because she's by far one of the hottest women in the world. i love asian women!!! btw, i think we should designate olivia the official game thread girl until of course the next lose.
i wonder about triano at times like today i thought he should have put derozan in the post and allowed him to go to work on the diminutive trio of ben gordan, stuckey and will bynum but he didnt. in fact, hedo had similar opportunities but triano decided against it for hedo as well.
