LOL @ Spencer Hawes being on the ballot instead of Kaman.

Also, Duncan is listed at PF again, which could cost him this year with Yao being out. Looks like Stoudamire will start at C for the West.

I can't believe Iverson is listed again. If they vote him in, I'm gonna puke. OK, he probably won't get in ahead of Bryant and Paul.

    All Star Voting started

I just got my first notice for all star voting. I threw votes in for Brandon, Lamarcus and Greg. I usually vote every day from each computer I have to skew the voting as much as I can, the small amount that is. :)

Yep I just threw in my first votes for Brandon, Aldridge and Oden. Its kind of crazy to be voting for all stars at this point of the season though.

Speaking of which... maybe Yao could still get voted in as a starter? That would be hilarious.

How many would be surprised if Aldridge makes the team but not Brandon?

    I would be.

Duncan and Dirk are pretty much a lock at the 4 position. So - for LMA to make it is going to be hard, especially because Pau is a 4 as well.

Add the 3s with Melo pretty much a lock and Durant is very very likely to make it. It's going to be hard for LMA to make it.

Guards - CP3, Kobe, Deron, Nash and Roy are probably the leaders of the pack as far as ASG candidates. Kobe is a lock. CP3 is as well. If PHX continue as they are now - Nash will be as well. So - unless Roy has a horrible year - he is in pretty much by default - at least a coaches vote.

I think Oden may have a better chance than Aldridge. Yao is still likely to be voted in but he'll then be replaced, so he doesn't take away a slot. Stoudemire is likely to be a lock. After that, no one is a lock. I think Biedrins is the next best player, but if Oden raises his statistical output from now until the coaches' decision time, I think he could get in against a competition of Biedrins and Bynum.

Like andalusian, I don't see which forwards Aldridge will bump of Nowitzki, Duncan, Anothony, Durant and Gasol.

I think once you've made the ASG more than once, you have to be pushed out. Roy is beginning to be marketed by the league and the sportswriters. He's being mentioned along with K*be and Wade. He does all the little things coaches love and he's not a punk. He's performed well in his ASG appearances.

As long as we don't collapse, he'll be named to the team. Of course, the Mile High Rapist will be voted as the starter.

Don't they classify the reserves differently? I know the starters are voted in as guard, forward, center, but aren't the reserves historically viewed as point guards, swingmen and big men? What I mean is that the coach of the West could see they need another center, but the best remaining pivot is Spencer Hawes. At that point, you go with a guy like LaMarcus Aldridge, even though he's a power forward.

Blazersedge tweet: @blazersedge will Nate McMillan have time to game plan after spending all day crossing Andre Miller off All Star Ballots + writing in Steve Blake?

Looking at the list, it looks like Bynum will be the starting center. I can't believe Duncan isn't on the center ballot. Seems a little weird to me. Right now, only Amare and Oden are the only ones that will be giving Bynum some competition.

If he continues the numbers he's put up the first few games, the other Gasol has a legit chance at being the second center from the West.

Ain't no way LMA makes the all star team.
