With the Lakers loss tonight, we are now the NBA's hottest team, having won 5 in a row. The impressive thing, of course, is that the past 3 have come on the road. You can comment on the level of competition if you want, but RIGHT NOW I'm feelin pretty good about our team!! Not to mention our +8.5 point differential and 88.4 pts allowed per, both of which are the best in the West! Now lets get a win in Charlotte! Lets go Blazers!!
Yeah . . . but . . . we were 1-2, our collective expectations all lowered, were going to be THE disappointing team of the year and the season was going to be disaster, right??? I guess those "fans" will have to sit and wait for our next loss to raise their heads again.
I won't question getting the Ws no matter who they are against, but if you want to talk about the real hottest team in the NBA I'd probably put the Kings ahead of us. They've won 4 in a row, beating several quality opponents, including Utah in Utah and the Rockets tonight by 9 at home ... Must be all those DNP-CDs Westphal is giving Chacho.
Which won't really happen with any regularity until the week of Christmas! By then our W-L record should be well padded for any eventual losses.
anxiously awaiting an explanation from MARIS....but mad props to the Kings, they've played very well so far.
I caught part of their game with the Thunder and all I can say about them is that they play HARD. Thompson is fun to watch, Evans is going to be a stud (reminds me a little of Brandon) and they are getting some nice contributions from a lot of different guys ... they also defend and rebound the ball really well which probably helps explain why they are enjoying so much success without Martin's piss poor defense and "never met a shot he didn't like" mentality.
We need to keep on winning 7 of 10, or better the rest of the season. That's the only way we get 57+ wins.
