Actually no, he doesn't. He is horrible at feeding the post, and he couldn't lead a fast break to save his life. He is a poor man's Steve Kerr - a designated shooter who gives the ball to the star perimeter player and gets out of the way.

I've been calling for Blake to be dealt for some time now, glad to see everyone has hopped onto the wagon.
We really need to deal him ASAP and get another PF or SF.
The Wiz are continuing to suck, hopefully Caron becomes available :D or just get Batum back, watching Martell makes me miss his shooting.

Start shooting and cut down on the turnovers, then we'll talk

Blake doesn't need to be dealt. He just needs to be benched....or at least play less minutes than he's been getting.

I just don't understand.... Blake was shooting well last season.... now it seems like his shot has completely left him.

Travis, before his foot issues - was actually having his best year, PER wise - so I am not sure where this comes from.

Roy also did not regress, he just has to adjust to a very different system. Roy, with the ball out of his hands, is much more of a jump shooter than he was before. I am sure they will work it out from there.

Blake, as well, is playing a different role. He does not handle the ball anywhere near as much as he did last year.

The only one that really seems to have regressed is Rudy - but when you consider the back problems he had in the summer - I am not ready to throw the towel on him.

This team has naturally progressed. JB is a much better player this year, LMA seems to as well, same as Oden. Pryzbilla is the same player he was last year - but that's not a real surprise now. I suspect Blake would have been as well - if he continued to play the exact same role he did last year.

The fact is that this team is progressing - but some people have a large adjustment period - and to expect it to immediately click for them is just unreasonable.

are you aware that the team is 8-3 which puts them on pace for 60 wins? Geez the club has been winning decisively on the road and looks to be the best rebounding club in the league... life is good :)

But it could be a little bit better if Batum were healthy ;)

I agree that life is good, but I don't want to get myself too excited over the 8-3 start, considering 5 of the wins came against poor teams (Minnesota, Memphis, Minnesota, New Orleans and Charlotte).

The other 3 wins are good though. OKC, on the road, San Antonio and Houston, but they haven't been real tests yet. I do like how they're winning games big, and winning games poorer teams tend to lose, but I want to see them beat Atlanta, and then win games like @GS (we never play good there).

The rest of this month is not a great test of the teams place in the league. Of their opponents for the rest of the month, the biggest tests might be @GS, Chicago and @Utah.

December is a brutal month, with games @ Dallas, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Orlando, Miami, San Antonio, and games at home against Miami, Houston, Phoenix and Denver.

So is Bayless good to go tomorrow? I did not see an update on his ankle. I assume he could of played against Charlotte if he had to?

Blake doesnt need to be traded, because honestly, he has little value around the league IMHO....but he needs to play 15 mins instead of 30....

Rudy is better than blake at this point... and bayless is almost as good, but a lot younger and a better defender, so i would give Bayless at least as many mins as Blake
