    What happens to the team?

Does his sister inherit the team? And then does Vulcan continue to run the team and move it to Seattle? Is the team sold outright?

I think the short answer is, nobody knows. Most likely his sister will inherit most of his fortune, presumably including the team, but he could will it to someone else. What would be great would be leaving it to the city of Portland (or better yet, me) , but I don't expect that to happen.

As for moving to Seattle, that would still face the same issues as it does with Paul alive: very hard to move the RG itself, and probably hard to get out of the agreement to play here till 2020.

Leaving it to the City of Portland would be a nightmare. They wouldn't fund losses and they would run the team in a politically correct fashion.

He was at the Blazer game against Detroit, with a beard and a dark blue baseball hat. A camera was put on him during the second quarter? and the Blazer crowd cheered. P.A did smile towards the crowd.

That would be cool, a true team of the people. The Lakers are America's team, but we'll be Democracy's team. We could vote on every acquisition, on player minutes, and on the plays that we mandate to be run. Now that we'll get a fast break, we can require the return of Sergio. And we can ban Canzano from the stadium. First thing is to lower the chalupa threshold to 80 points.

What would be better is to issue 100 million shares of common stock in the Blazers, and issue it equally to every person who'se ever been a season ticket holder, or has been a Portland area resident since 1970. Run the team like the Green Bay Packers.

Lame thread considering the circumstances. "What if someone dies" not long after they are diagnosed with cancer? Really?!?!
The karma gods are now against you... GO BEAVERS! If Phil Knight dies, what happens to the University of Nike?

Ironically, the conversation subject of "What if Paul dies" is what caused him to divest from Microsoft. He overheard a conversation between Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer about attempting to keep his stock if his Hodgkins triumphed. At that point, he decided he didn't want those two to control his financial destiny.

I hope he lives a long life and helps to raise banner after banner to the rafters of the Rose Quarter. He has been integral to our success since 1988 and really has been one of the great owners in the NBA.

Get well, Mr. Allen. Millions in the Pacific Northwest pray for your recovery.
