Look, my advice to Kevin Pritchard is to get Miller out of here as quickly as humanly possible. Get whatever you can for him. Chalk this one up to one big mistake and forget about trying to bring a real point guard to this team — because it’s always going to be Roy.

awww lol... i think kp is in a must trade situation.

Me, too. What can he get for Roy? He's got a pretty big contract, so we'll probably have to package some young prospect.

I'm not defending him. What do you think Pritchard can get for him in a trade?

I did. Portland could have won that series if Roy had shown up. Everyone else on the team was great during that series.

Amazing. Did you just call Roy a bitch? The one player that made the all-star game 2 seasons in a row? The player that derailed us from the extremely horrible "Zblow" offense to something fun to watch? A team "HE LEAD" which we felt like we had a chance to win each and every game? The one player that was supposed to be just good enough to be a role player, but excelled his game to an all-star level?

How dare you call him a bitch. That was uncalled for and seriously "grade-school". As much as many disagreed with you, I have never once called you out on any of your incredibly negative posting. On this one, I am deeply embarrassed that you are a Blazer fan.

He's right. An unhappy Andre will only hinder chemistry.

Some of you seem to have forgotten that it was Roy who basically brought this team out of the sewer and into brighter days. I believe he deserves some slack, and I also believe that it is very easy to take print out of context. You know where this team would be with out Roy?

    In the Fucking Sewer. :banghead:

I would welcome a trade for the right piece. But here is the thing. I believe the guards we need are here already. They just aren't being played.

Many of you focus on the stuff on Roy, but ignore the pieces being said about Blake and Nate. I do believe Roy should be one of the two starting guards. But I believe we should use him like Anfernee Hardaway was used. (Yes, I know he was only good his first few years, I am talking about Penny in his prime.) Fernandez or Bayless should be that other guard.

The best way to get the most out of Oden and Aldridge is to surround them with shooter/scorers. As long as you can get the ball up the floor, you are going to maximize your talent.

I saw the footage of Roy. I didn't read about it.

A strength of Roy a couple of years ago, even last year of being Humble is lacking this year. HIs ego is not in check and hasn't been since the start of the season. It's very obvious who has the keys to this team and it's not a man named McClueless.

Brandon Roy does need some slack. But Brandon Roy also needs to be called out when he is in error. And right now he is not being called out and I believe as a fan he is in error. Even Brandon Roy get's it wrong time to time. He can make misjudgements. And this is one time, he has shown misjudgment.

Furthermore, the only way this gets fixed is if the Blazers find away and someone to manage not only his ego but everyones ego on this team.

    Nate, apparently isn't that guy.

Drafting Roy was the worst mistake this franchise has made in my lifetime.

KP should have traded up to grab Adam Morrison, or he should have still drafted LMA but then not traded Randy Foye for Roy.

Then we wouldn't have to worry about Brandon "What, does he think he's an All-Star or something?" Roy.

I say we get AI, Zbo, and Tracy McGrady. Then we take bets on how long until there is a general melee about who gets to shoot the ball. I put my money on Zbo to win that fight, with 3 to 4 fatalities by gunshot, leaving the Blazers with no team to speak of left. The only guy who won't be shot, will be Steve Blake, who will still be starting because Nate is still coach. :)

Kobe Bryant has been much more vocal in the past and has called out teammates by name, even wanting one to be traded. Two years later, they are standing on a podium together as NBA champions.

Perhaps Roy needs to become even more vocal?

Ha ha I just posted that exact same thing on another thread. Well said. Stars win in this league. Thats the facts. This isn't the little league where "everybody plays" is a good thing.
