and if you look at their blog comments, there are the HOMERS, just like in this forum that try and defend them, while others aren't settling for mediocracy. It's the same everywhere. You are a fan of a team and you are passionate about it. Some may be negative, because that's how they handle their emotion, while others are "realists" that want to discuss performance and how it can be better. Then there are those, like me, that mainly follow blindly and think the Blazers should just represent the Western Conference "All-stars" So the ones sick of reading this banter, get used to it. It's everywhere.
I guess you guys haven't been to Lakersground.net after they lose (I do this all the time, its quite fun)
I don't have any problem with people posting reasoned critiques that include negative comments about certain players, the coach, or managment. There are two kinds of posts that do tick me off, however... the ones that are total overreactions to a single bad game and the ones that seem to look to put a negative spin on everything that happens to this team. The older I get, the more I realize that it's a long season and that there are always going to be ups and downs in it. IMO, some people around here need to take a longer view in their thinking about the Blazers.
Yeah, I think every pro sports team's fanbase has a ton of doomsdayers among them who post ridiculous crap online. We're not the only ones with mixum-esque posts.
You are correct, every team in every sport has them. But it's one thing being a "doomsayers" and another thing being a moron. That Bull's fan wanting to trade Rose is a fucking idiot. Pure and simple. There is no excuse for people being that stupid. I don't care how emotional you are as a fan, stop posting if you have mental problems. OK I feel better now.
This isn't even close to the worst posting I have seen. I read somewhere a white supremacist posted that he felt Sasha Pavlovic was a better player then LeBron but couldn't get any run because LeBron was black. Thus his nickname ever since: "White LeBron". That IS the stupidest basketball posting of all time.
Meanwhile at the secret NBA fan monitoring room under the Tualitin Practice facility... Penn: "Holy undervalued player Pritch man!" KP: "Time is of the essence to the Pritchslap Cave!!!" Nananananannanananannanananna PRITCH SLAP!!!! NANANANANANNANANANANANNANANANA PRITCH SLAP!!! ****POW**** ****BOOM****
They only thing anymore ridiculous than thinking Blazers fans are the only doomsdayers are those that that biatch and moan about the doomsdayers and plead for it to end.. Do you really think you are going to get them to stop?
Was that directed towards me? You didn't quote who it was directed to. If it's me, did I ask them to stop? HAHAHAHA. I'm saying it's obviously everywhere and the people that think only Portland fans are meltdown artists are only hurting themselves
No, it wasn't directed at you Mags. I LAUGH everytime I see someone biatch about someone complaining and being negative. A dooms dayer is s a personality type. Just as someone that is happy go lucky is a personality type. You aren't going to change one or the other. Learn to accept and deal with each other as they are.
Yeah I know. Mixum does have some B-Ball knowledge too, IMHO, just like Bendblazer does in O-live. They just want what they think is so right, that they have to use extremes to get their point across. Nothing wrong with that, when you know why they are trying to do it. The only thing that ever rubbed me wrong was when someone called B-Roy a bitch. That just doesn't sit well with me. I think he's far from it.
And some people love drama. That is Mixum. Adding: I don't think Roy s a bitch either. I love BROY. I haven't been real proud of him here of late. But, I just think it's a temporary phase he is going through. And not a total grounds for incrimination.
