Top 5 teams in East and West

Like I said two days ago. Stop worrying about Blake vs. Miller (two role players) and focus on feeding the damn Beast. Seriously! When Oden actually develops that "Shaq-like" dominance in the paint, we will be impossible to stop. Focus on getting him the ball and having a nice two man game with Roy and Oden. They can seriously feed off each other and destroy teams. And guess what? We got some other stud named Aldridge to fill everything else up they are leaving behind.

Seriously, when this team finally clicks, we will be upset if we don't win 60 games a season. We will be so accustom to success.

I'm worried about Blake vs Miller because Miller "feeds the beast" and Blake doesn't. That's the point of the whole debate (at least for me).

They all were pretty consistent in feeding the post last night, no?

It was only a matter of time.

One game is not enough. I need to see a stretch of games where Oden is getting the ball in scoring position before I'll be convinced that Blake and Roy have finally shown Oden some faith.

Nothing wrong with us having that debate, but there is some thing wrong with Nate putting too much energy on trying to make that work. Oden is the #1 concern in development. The sooner he can dominate the game, the sooner us fans will be setting up parades in Portland.

I really loved when Brett Barry said during half-time that "I think it's time we forget about if Oden is a bust and come out and say he truly is a great center" <-- Not word for word, but basically Barry is a believer and I suspect many to follow sooner than later.

I want to see guys like Colin Cowherd eat whatever words and takes they had. Clearly, they were wrong. Not that he or Bill Simmons would come out and admit it.

If we are popping the champaign, they won't have to. Actions always speak louder than words.

Simmons next take will be that Roy is carrying Oden or some shit.

But, there is no doubt that the Colin Cowherds of the world look at themselves as "experts" and know more about the game than the average fan. Greg Oden coming to life and finally showing signs of greatness I would hope shows them the error of their ways and thinking. And humbles them.

He won't say that, he'll say Oden still looks awkward and KD plays beautiful basketball and Greg has no passion unlike KD who eats, breathes and dreams basketball 25 hours a day. "Kevin Durant knows the secret" (or some other bullshit).

The only way Greg is going to quiet his more harsh detractors is if he puts up Tim Duncan kinds of numbers and even then they'll probably shrug and just say it's no big deal because that's what number 1 picks are supposed to do.

Didn't you know that it only takes 10 minutes to look at a player and decide if he has "it" or not? Colin said he watched Oden and could tell he didn't have "it" ... that he'd basically be a 7 foot Ben Wallace (as if a 7 foot Ben Wallace in his prime would have been a bad player. Yikes!)

Simmons likes to stir the pot. He'll take an angle that pisses off the fans. Something that goes against all common sense. Maybe he'll say the refs are favoring Oden, or that Stern made him.

Who cares? These guys are entertainers. They need "hits". They make stupid arguments. So what? Their analysis was entertainment before - and it still is now.

Cowherd is a moron but I would be willing to bet that Simmons would change his tune if Oden keeps getting better.

After all, Simmons has said he feels the league would be better if both Oden and Durant played at a very high level. More good players equals a better NBA.

It simply isn't a either/or proposition. I hope both are good.

Though I do want Portland to be better then the Thunder as a team. Durant can have his scoring titles. I want Oden to have rings.
