Coach basically embarrassed them after the Nuggets loss. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=291124007 I have a feeling they are gonna play us pretty tough and dont forget... they almost beat us in this building last year. The year before they beat on this exact same night before Thanksgiving in Portland. Should we in. Yes we should win by 20 but this Nets team is hungry for a win. it would be pretty embarrassing to lose to this team.
You know they're going to win sometime but no, I'm not super concerned about tonight unless we're down 10 points with 3-4 mins remaining.
I am a little concerned about tonight's game. The Nets just got Devon Harris back, and he killed us last year (averaged 25 in two meetings) Lopez scored 22 & 17 against Portland last year also - although he's apparently nursing an ankle sprain. We'll see if Coach Frank calling out his team gives them a shot in the arm. Often times it does, plus you know those guys are desperate to get a win. I think Portland wins tonight, but not big. Could be an 82-79 type of score where both teams shoot under 40%. It seems like the Blazers often play down to their competition, but usually do just enough to beat weaker teams on their home court.
Yeah, of course you should be a little concerned. You don't want to be the first to fall to the Nets, as unlikely as it seems.
What, do you want the mods to guess? Since, as you imply, they can't KNOW which one it is, it would be irresponsible to assume that one interpretation is more correct than another. Get over it, dude.
The only way we lose this game is if Coach Nate forgets the lessons he's learning about how to use our twin towers and how that opens up the game for the the rest of the team. A loss would be inexcusable.
This game will either be one of two things: 1. A game to enjoy because the Blazers blow out the nets. 2. A game I wish I never went to because the Nets break through. I am thinking the former.
The Nets aren't "due." That's the gambler's fallacy. A string of failures doesn't mean you're due for a win. Especially when it comes to sports performance, where each failure is a reflection of your own abilities and not random. The Nets being winless makes them more due for another loss rather than a win, because it means they are not good at basketball, collectively. So, no, this game isn't concerning. The Blazers could lose, that's a chance for any game. But this game probably has the lowest chance of that happening.
Them being collectively bad at basketball makes the game all the more scary? Well, that's certainly a viewpoint. That's true and relevant. It makes them a bit better than their record, but still a bad team. If Lopez doesn't play, it erases much of that gain, though.
Genitals Flapping Youthfully A little bit perverted, a little inappropriate, but all-in-all, very interesting.
Girls Flirting (their) Youthfulness Zowie, you have a problem with that??? As to the Nets, they're a professional team, and are capable of beating any team on any given night.
We are a different team than last year! They haven't played against the new Oden/LA team either. They also haven't played against Miller on this team. Need I go on? If we do not beat this team by at least 15 then the Refs are indeed throwing these games and need to be taken out and shot on the spot.
Goats Flavored Yogurt If the N'yets beat us, it's a blow against democracy! We have to fight the ruskies, and come out victorious!
