The bench fucked up the game. Kobe had to play 40 minutes tonight even though we basically dominated the whole night. Unacceptable. Luckily we don't play again until Sunday. Laugh all you want, but this game shows why we miss Luke Walton. First and foremost, I want to thank LO for crashing the boards tonight, but he had way too many turnovers and he needs to step up as the leader of the second unit. He needs to be more aggressive offensively and score some points. Also, the lineup on the floor: Brown-Sasha-AMMO-LO-Bynum was pretty terrible. Besides LO, who was mostly MIA the whole night, there is nobody who can create their own shot. Sasha and AMMO are basically spot up shooters (honestly they should never be on the court the same time). I dunno wtf went on with LO tonight, and Bynum needs someone to get him the ball. Shannon isn't a creator offensively. If Luke was healthy, we'd at least have someone to facilitate the offense in the second unit (all LO did tonight was turnover after turnover) and have some ball movement. The bench was absolutely pitiful. I agree with huevon's assessment, LO has to step up. He needs to lead the second unit and start being more aggressive.
I dont know why we cant play Powell at the 3 instead of AmMo. I mean Ammo sucks and Powell is good. Its not like Josh cant shoot the ball. I hope it is an attempt to increase Ammo's trade value.
Last night during the Maui Invitational they showed video highlights of Morrison vs. Michigan State's Maurice Ager & our very own Shannon Brown. Those two had an epic shoot out a few seasons ago. Watching Morrison in college is night and day from the player he's become.
We need to stop wasting time with ammo, and develop our other players. Adam is probably just a contract, we don't have to show that off that will just take care of itself.
Interesting how Jordan got less playing time yesterday. Anyways, I don't really know what's going on. AMMO should not be on the court, ever. I'm guessing we're just showcasing Farmar/AMMO for a potential trade. Yes, expirings are nice, but both those guys are still young, so technically they have "potential." Maybe we can sucker some team to give up more if they these two actually show something.
At least Farmar is an NBA player, I'm not sure about Ammo. Whatever happens I don't want it to get in Shannon's way. The guy is simply too freakishly gifted to not get more playing time.
