I have never seen this show before. I am watching the replay of last nights show. Dwight Jaynes is absolutely HORRIBLE!!! I know Arnold, and respect his opinion. This Ben from BlazersEdge is also clueless! Man, I'm glad I'm too busy to even get a chance to watch this shit!
Furness is just as bad. ALWAYS accentuates the negative. The other night, after a Blazer blowout win, he posed the question - is it a concern that this team hasn't shown they can win a close game yet this season? Dude, they just won by 30!
I think the show's alright...Dwight Jaynes appears to know what he's talking about the majority of the time...
I don't even know what Furness is doing down here...thought he was Seattle guy now...it's always Oregon focused...get him off of there. Fasero is painful to watch...makes me uncomfortable just watching him. Jaynes I think is pretty desperate for a gig so sometimes I think he stirs things up just to try and get noticed...can't really fault him for that, but it's not the kind of stuff I like to watch. Ben...I've only seen him on their once, compared to the others he seems very green...and that's saying something. I feel bad for the former players they get on the show. They must be cringing throughout... So yeah, awesome show!
Some truth to that...but I think it has a lot more to do with CSNW's budget. It would be more interesting to have 2 hosts and 2 drunken fans...then let the debating begin!
Yeah it's bad, the whole panel sucks. Jaynes is painful to listen to, and to look at. The short guy always comes off like a negative little troll. At least the host is bareable. The Blazer talk that goes on at my work is more insightful.
Ya, I agree. I usually just watch the Blazers portion, but enjoy the show. I'd take Jaynes over Crapzo and Quick any time. I remember reading his articles on the Journal years ago and have always enjoyed what he wrote even if I didn't always agree with him.
Whenever Quick is on there, he has this arrogant smirk, like "do I really need to be here and listen to this?". And then he adds nothing whatsoever. The show flat-out sucks. And I, too, feel bad for the former players they get on there. I'd rather watch game replays of the Sebastian Telfair era than "Talkin' Ball."
Now if we really wanted to make a show with high ratings, we would find 5 hot chicks who know their basketball and put them up there talking hoops. Then the thread in here wouldn't probably even discuss if they knew their basketball, but the show would be much better.
You know, that makes a lot of sense. I can't believe that ESPN hasn't created a version of "The Sports Reporters" with Erin Andrews, Rachel Nichols, Wendi Nix, and Suzy Kolber. It's gold, Jerry--GOLD!!
