The asshole that killed those 4 police officers has been shot and killed by a police officer in Washington. This is great news, but if I hear even 1 NAACP member, or bullshit reverend talk about this in any way other than it's good he is dead I will lose it.
That would defy common sense, so yes, we'll hear something from someone about the "treatment" of this turd.
There's been three headline stories of killings the past week and each time the killer was someone released early from prison.
If the cop shot and killed the guy because he felt that his or someone else's life was in immediate danger, fine. If the cop shot and killed the guy because the guy killed four cops, the cop should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. My money is on the former.
I think I read that the guy was behind the officer that shot him, so I would assume that he was up to no good. I mean if I am a cop approaching the vehicle reported stolen by the suspect, and I then turn and see the suspect behind me, I am probably shooting.

It is absolutely disgusting knowing that he had a fallen officers' gun on him. It would be even more nauseating if he killed the cop last night with that gone. Again, I'm glad he's dead. Its too bad they couldn't Jack Bauer him for a little bit, though.
I have several friends who are police officers and they agree with you--as terrible as a cop killer is, and how revered he would be in prison, vigilantism/revenge-killing is not acceptable. But the "I saw him make a move" excuse will probably be sufficient regardless.

Definitely sounds sketchy how he was shot, but it's pretty much well documented that shooting/injuring a cop is going to get you fucked up. This guy killed four cops. He was toast.
