This, according to the MSP guys....in light of Aldridge pulling himself out of last night's game.

In fact, Dawson went on to say that, at the time LMA was going through contract negotiations with the Blazers, Gavin quipped to KP, "He'd already be signed by now if he could garner double-digits in rebounds.." To which Pritchard could only laugh nervously.

    Interesting, though.

EDIT: Crap! Meant for the main forum.

When we played Utah I was surprised that LMA's arms were as big as Boozers. The dude is ripped. He shouldn't have as much problems as he does getting position. He needs steroids or something. LMA on a roid rage would be a good thing.

Part of the issue, at least in my opinion on the offensive side of things, is that he's positioned outside most of the time so that Oden can have the post and Roy can have the lane if he wants to drive. That leaves LMA way on the outside looking for offensive rebounds.

On the defensive side..well..LMA is soft on rebounds.

I think LA will play injured. But they stated it was a chronic injury and rest has been perscribed.

He misses one game and because of the schedule he gets to take a week. It was a smart move by the Blazers to get him over a nagging injury.

No, he was obviously just tired and didn't want to play. That LaPussy. We shouldn't have signed his wimpy ass.

What concerned me was that last night whenever the camera panned to Aldridge, he was sitting by Bayless and the two of them were always talking, laughing and smiling. The team was losing badly and if you didn't know the score and just looked at these guys you would think we were the ones blowing out Miami. I don't understand why they just can't talk and have good times off the court. When your in the basketball arena, I expect 100% concentration on the court even if your on the bench which was Bayless' case. Save the non-basketball talk for after the game.

...Nate lost control of the team weeks ago when Miller was delegated to the bench before he even got a chance to play and compete. It has slowly spiraled out of control ever since...to the point that these two jokers are only interested in themselves as the rest of their "teammates" get slaughtered, at home no less!!!

What makes you think they weren't talking and laughing about what was going on on the court?

Yeah, maybe they were doing impersonations of Nate.

I don't recall them folding their arms and staring expressionless at the court?

Actually, there are times when his number is called to work inside. He doesn't establish position like a player of his skill should. All the defender has to do is really work hard to keep him out of the paint and he just fades out. He is counting on face up play, more than back to the basket. I really don't think he's comfortable playing the post at this caliber. Hell he didn't even lift weights until he hit the NBA. Texas is known for not bulking up their players. Remember Durant not even able to bench 150 lbs?

It's a game, you take it far too seriously. Same as many on this board. You think there should be confetti, party hats and a parade when the blazers destroy the other team?

You make a good point there. I think his credibility took a dive when he won't even give Miller a chance to play as the "Real Starter" over blake. Instead, he tippy-toed around it and started both. I believe that showed the team, his stubbornness and need to keep a player happy, instead of the team.

No he needs someone to tell him to take the tampon out of his box and man up. When he gets pissed he is dominant. Look at KG, he gets really pissed before every game for absolutely no reason and is arguably the best all around PF in the league.

And WTF do you expect a guy who it out of the game due to injury, and a guy who can't get Nate to give him any minutes to do? Life it too short to not enjoy. There are so many things out of players control, they can't just sit back and get pissed about everything.

You're right, far better they sit on the sideline and practice their frowny faces and stare at the court with furrowed brows. That was the difference in the game right there.

You're absolutely right. For the money these guys are making alone, the very least we can expect is that they would care about the outcome of the game. Shame on Bayless and Aldridge for yukking it up during the team's third consecutive loss.

    Reps to you.
