Matt Hughes will fight next at UFC 112, no opponent named. Amir Sadollah vs. Brad Blackburn for UFN 20. Jake Rosholt cut by the UFC. Silva won't fight Belfort at UFC 109. It will be pushed back.
UFC 108 is Evans vs. Silva after so many dropouts. JDS might have to wait rather than get a last-minute replacement opponent.
New rumor appearing is with Anderson Silva not recovering so quickly from elbow surgery, Vitor Belfort may have to like, actually win a fight at 185 lbs to earn his title shot, and if the rumor is true, he's going to have earned it indeed. Vitor Belfort vs Nate Marquart is in the works for February. awesome fight!
Josh Koscheck vs. Paulo Thiago II in the works for UFC 109. Guess Kos isn't getting a crack at Hardy.
he never was, they need to feed someone to GSP and Hardy is his next victim. If it goes more than 2 rounds, Hardy is tougher than Jon Fitch, because he's getting put on his back and staying there 1-2 mins into the 1st round and he'll be eating a lot of GnP.
few good fights added to UFC 110 Joe 'Daddy' Stevenson vs George S(I ain't spelling the rest of it) Sotiropoulos and Ryan 'Darth' Bader vs Keith Jardine. Looking forward to both of those matches indeed. oh and for the Aussie's Elvis Sinosic vs fellow Aussie Chris Haseman will be on the card too
I can see Bader landing his big right and winning, I can see Jardine using distance strikes to flummox the mechanical striking of Bader and avoiding takedowns. Bader should have improved a lot though as he's still very green so who knows for sure how this goes. Can't wait to find out though.
UFC 106 got between 300-375k buys, which is pretty low. With Brock they probably would've doubled that or more. It seems Tito/Forrest wasn't much of an attention grabber. UFC 107 not looking much more promising. UFC 108 also lacking star power but being a holiday event it may do good numbers.
Yvel is a pretty good fighter and his knockout of Rizzo was impressive, but the guy is not honourable, and I'm surprised he's getting licensed so easily in the US.
I really wonder if we will see a Kongo vs Yvel #2. The first one was pretty sloppy looking, but Kongo looks like he has improved since then (conditioning as well, he gassed) It would only make sense if either both guys won, or both guys lost.
