I know the post-game interviews are going to talk about how proud they were of making the defensive stop at the end, but it'll ring hollow for me. They got lucky on that last possession. Jack looked like a marionette as Arenas blew past him and Amir was lucky the dude he was supposed to box out missed two tip-ins. The team hustled more today which is an improvement over the past two weeks, and they showed flashes of the type of team D they can play (perfectly mediocre). Hopefully they can build on it against non-crappy teams.
We all know how terrible the dude was prior to this year. He's definitely showing modest improvement though. The numbers have been less embarrassing over the past week (except the Atlanta game, but then again Bosh only grabbed 5 rebounds that game and the team was outrebounded by 22... everyone sucked). More importantly though, the quality of his rebounds have improved. He'd have the odd double-digit rebound game in the past, but for the most part, all of his rebounds were balls that fell right into his hands. I've seen more physical rebounds from him lately and a sporadic attempt to crash the offensive boards too. IMO, he's shown that he can be an adequate-decent rebounder for his position. Doesn't sound like much, but that wasn't really a given so far in his career. It's a matter of consistent effort-level for Bargs.
chicago is coming off a back to back as well so no excuses. and they have been ravaged by injuries so im sure the raps are the fresher team
