Well so much for sanity: http://columbian.com/article/20091205/BLOGS05/912059998/-1/blazerbanter

Nate going with the same lineup, BRoy still complaining about playing the 3. But this is noteworthy: It wasn't that I was, 'Put Dre in the second unit.' I wanted to be in the 2-guard spot. So, we'll see. He hasn't said he's going to make a change, so I'm not going to think ahead. We've got the same starting lineup tonight, and we've got to do a better job of executing and playing much better defense. When we do that, then we can kind of see where we're at that. But until we do that, we can't expect lineup changes to help us out."

Nate still confused by this. Why not try a Miller-Roy-Webster lineup?

Most depressing quote (from Demopoulos - who has a cool last two-and-a-half syllables):

Was that just before or also after the injury?

Because it makes too much sense to at least try it.

I get it that Roy wants to play (defend) the 2, that makes sense. But if Nate was seriously considering starting Miller, why the fuck just not start him with Webster? What is it about Miller and Webster that can't work? If we're to start Miller, we need Rudy creating in the second unit anyway.

Sounds like Mac is just looking for a way to justify not changing it, and put it on Roy.

I think that's a round-a-bout way of saying every guard or wing on this roster plays D like a junior high girls team. Which is so sad it's funny.

Way to balance the roster KP :twothumbs:

KP fell from grace face first.

He knows how to draft but other than that he's pretty mediocre (at best) as a GM.

Bayless needs to accidentally drop a tire iron on Blakes knees repeatedly tell we get to see Miller start.

This is ridiculously horrible decision making. You have the best scoring post-up PG in the league, and you're benching him on a night when he could have gone against a tiny defender in Brooks. Miller can destroy AB if he starts.

    retired, while you work!
McMillan and Monty Williams practiced with the team, and now McMillan will miss the entire 4-game road trip. Has anyone heard of a head coach fully practicing with his team (rare even for young ones), getting injured (never), needing surgery from this (never ever), and having to miss several games as a coach (why can't he coach sitting in a wheelchair?).

After yesterday's horribly catastrophic practice, Cunningham needed 11 stitches from a separate collision, which is being kept secret for now. This reminds me of the practice which preceded the win streak of 2 years ago, in early December like this one. McMillan encouraged emotions then and Blake got into it with a teammate. I wonder whether the same happened this time and a regular pounded on Cunningham. I wonder whether it will result in a turnaround like 2 years ago.

I'm going to insert the word "opinion" into Roy's remarks:

"[Instead of telling you to ask the coach about coaching matters, I'll tell you my opinion.] I'd rather just stay at the 2, whether it was Steve or Andre. It wasn't that I [my opinion] was, 'Put Dre in the second unit.' I wanted [my opinion about this coaching matter was] to be in the 2-guard spot. So, we'll [the coach and I, the ones who make coaching decisions] see. He hasn't said he's going to make a change, so I'm not going to think ahead. We've got the same starting lineup tonight [contrary to my opinion], and we've got to do a better job of executing and playing much better defense [but not me, the offensive star who plays no defense]. When we do that, then we can kind of see where we're at that. But until we do that, we can't expect lineup changes to help us [that means me, folks] out."

Instead he's going to be going up against the point guard for the Rockets who is built like a brick shit-house and won't be as easily backed down. Good times.

No way aging autistic PG "Chubby" Miller could hope to keep up with Brooks. :biglaugh:

Blake can't guard or score on Brooks... we had a nice playoff series and the first two times we met them this season to show that.
