Well, now that we've been in town awhile, it's time to venture out to some of the better restaurants in town. I love ethnic food, so definitely want to check some of those out.

Anyway, if you would, please let me know any of your favorite:

    • Italian
    • Chinese
    • Mexican
    • Steaks/American
    • Seafood/Fish
    • Pizza
    • Hamburgers
    • Romantic
    • Sports Bar (Food)
    • Ritzy (for a special occasion)
    • Other

    Thanks in advance!

Wonderful tapas food, good place but a bit expensive (for tapas)...

For Mexican that isn't fancy but it's good try Por Que No down on N. Mississippi..tiny little place but good food.

In the "I don't know what category it is"...Mother's downtown...go there. Mac and cheese. Yes, mac and cheese.

If you're in the mood for just a quick red meat trip, I'd highly suggest Higgin's bar. Even at non-happy hour times. They have a prime rib burger that I absolutely love. It's hard to get a spot, so go a little early. But good food.

Do you like "white" chinese food? If so, PF Changs? I personally don't like it, but Opies seem to love it.

Dim Sum is always fun, we usually hit up the House of Louie (but not recently we just hang in the burbs @ Jin Wah).

    been a while though.

like the way you think! Apizza and slowbar are on my to-try list. I've heard good things about pambiche (cuban).

I was disappointed in pambiche the one time I've been there.

As for the Mexican listings..King Burrito as ob mentioned..if you ever want a cheap lunch, get the burrito enchilada style. It's like $4....yum.

I took my family there once. FANTASTIC, but my Mom kept stewing about how much it cost. Ran me around $280 for the five of us, but worth every penny.....er, dollar! :)

Shanghai Noble House is a very good Chinese restaurant that is close to downtown in John's Landing. If you have a entertainment card you get 1 dish for free as well.
