Sorry haters, but this season went down long before Oden went down.

That's right, criticize and make jokes instead of responding seriously and thoughtfully. By all means disagree but back it up.

Oh yeah, and dont forget to make this thread about yourself with the "Sorry Haters" addition to the title.

Way to rock the caricature of yourself avatar too....you're soooo awesome, and obviously more famous than Travis Outlaw

Aside from ridiculing the calling out of the "haters..."

I think the Blazers definitely miss his length and ability to score in streaks.

I've consistently been a fan of Outlaw and I've been a fan of trading Miller since we started the season 2-3. And I've been absolutely clamoring for a deal since Oden went down.

Thank you. Exactly. Some people don't agree with you though.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I think the team misses Outlaw, since he's a useful player. I don't think their season changed significantly when Outlaw got hurt. I actually think the Batum injury hurt the team more.

I think people are disagreeing with you saying Outlaw's injury hurt more than Oden's.

In fact, all your arguments for Outlaw can basically be applied to Oden.

But the team started playing badly BEFORE Oden went down.

What's your point? Am I denying that Portland misses Outlaw? No, I'm not. I'm saying Oden's loss hurts more. Outlaw's injury drained the depth. Oden's loss potentially makes us a lottery team.

The teams problems were always there, even in preseason. Losing Oden, TO, Rudy and Batum just accentuated the underling problems with defense and lack of a coherent offense.

The loss of Outlaw hurt, as it took away a guy who could create his own offense when everybody else was stagnating, and it hurt the team's depth at 2 positions.

Was it "the" turning point? IMHO, that happened during the Roy contract negotiations. *Something* poisoned the team's best player, and set off a chain reaction that injuries have only aggravated.

Yeah, since Roy or McMillen decided it wasn't working with Miller in the starting lineup.

    KingSpeed,

I just recently discovered this board and haven't been here long, but with each and every successive post of yours, it amazes me the lack of knowledge you have of the game.

Your man crush on Steve Blake has led to the conclusion that you are actually Steve Blake himself OR you are Nate McMillan...

This season went down when Assclown made Blankey a starter.

Actually, when he waivered in preseason about it.

The farther I think back about the end of last season to the start of this season and to now, it's been one big clusterfuck. There's been nothing but tension for the past 5 months around this organization.

Actually, my first reaction to the OP was that the season went down in pre-season when Nate choked on Brandon's unit. oldman and mm covered it.
